Let's all laugh at England

England were good tonight but so were France - they did look dangerous each time they broke forward.
Oh yeah, you knew France could get it done and dusted at any point. I was referring to team work and execution, not individual brilliance and/or ability to impact a game. France were ropey as a team, particularly at the back.

On Kane specifically - I would have put my house on him scoring. Kane scoring penalties in the World Cup is a certainty (…or was).
It's just too much penalty heartache history. One pen, fine, but two? At that point in the game? Nah.

You also have to consider it was Lloris in goal. It's not any keeper, it's someone you know knows you inside out so you are bound to keep second guessing your instincts because those are what he would come to expect...

Mindfeck, never had a chance.

To be fair, this is the least dislikeable England in memory. Only one I really dislike is Pickford. Grealish of course is not worth the effort. Honestly England could have scraped through. The plan to overload midfield was good. But the first French goal was hard to legislate for. I don’t think you could say they outplayed France but they held their own. They are a good team. So no, I’m unmoved, but not laughing.

that bloke was so salty be puked in his pint look

Not as fun as the 2018 thread - no where near as much salt

Think I firmly went into the “want England to lose every tournament” bucket when English fans forced their way onto a stage in a club in moscow with fans of all teams partying to turn off the music and sing that stupid south gate song.

that being said, au revoir- rentré chez toi

Just a little reminder : you lost to a team missing 5 starters (Benzema, Pogba, Kante, Lucas Hernandez, Kipembe) and 2 potential starters (Maignan and Nkunku). Almost a France B team.

That thread of Englishmen laughing at Brazil for outplaying Croatia and getting shit housed for dancing whilst their own boys just not good enough to win anyway. This is usually how karma works

There’s definitely an element of prejudice involved with a certain few. But yeah it’s strange.

If you don’t like English people to that extent then what are you doing on a Manchester United forum.
I could be wrong but I doubt there would be a thread on a Bayern, Real, Benfica site that would be titled "Let's all laugh at Germany,Spain Portugal but I can totally understand one ridiculing England.
I think a few need to have a good look at themselves regarding the club they supposedly support.

Googled and found this... A bit surprising.
DFM9kOSU0AAI50E

What’s the percentage for other European countries that had Empires? Or non European countries for that matter?

Id say it’s not really a surprise.

Imperialism is taught to be something to be proud of in literally every single country and then there’s many who don’t know or understand the specifics.

They arent taught about anything in schools about their empire, they think its jealousy.

Minds me off the idiot sky presenter talking down the Irish football girl telling she needs to better educate herself on her history.

It's the sheer ignorance of why they are disliked amazes me.

The most zany aspect of this is that Kane saved England from the agony of a penalty shootout by missing a penalty. I mean, in an alternate universe England go to penos. I don’t think they win that way

Every 2 years a couple of us fall for the bait and get sucked into stupid fecking tribal arguments with Irish trolls.

I'd add Foden to that he may be a great footballer but he is totally unlikeable.

Bar that most of them are ok they may be a bit thick but they are footballers and that's been their life

Look guys, I'll be honest: If England had won it their fans would have pretended they are as big as Uruguay and we all know how annoying the following discussion would have been. So I think it's probably for the best that Harry went for the English way out.

But did Uruguay players bring an empty suitcase along with them?

The only reason the majority are anti England are because of the whiny fans who dish it out but can't take it.

This thread is a perfect example.

Whining about mbappe who celebrated the penalty miss because he is unprofessional :lol::lol:

Having fun in other"let's laugh" threads but whining when a thread for England turns up.

Cry more, it's coming home, your shitty team is coming home.

To be clear, I like England, I like the English people. I love united. But I do not like the England football team and the majority of it's whining fans. Feck off .

Manchester United are not the English national team.

I at least appreciated that we did a speed run greatest hits of ‘England going out of tournaments’ rather than dragging it out for maximum heartbreak…We got all our hope, outrage, controversy and embarrassingly missed penalties into a solid 90 minutes this time, so fair play. brevity is the soul of wit and all. Efficient if anything

Are Bayern,Real or Benfica national teams?
That is the crux of the post.

Every tournament this one gets trotted out and I've never understood it.

"Manchester United fans shouldn't be allowed to take the piss out of England" on this here Irish Manchester United fan site.

No. But what has any of that got to do with ‘supposedly’ being fans of Man United?
Let me put it this way:
If I had a liking for Porto or Benfica and Portugal were knocked out of a tournament would it seem strange for me to start or contribute to a thread titled "Let's all laugh at Portugal" on their respective sites?

Depends on whether you had reason to. Would not supporting, or disliking, their national team make you a ‘supposed’ fan of their club? Of course it fecking wouldn’t. They’re distinct entities.

Do Portugal fans have a history of racially abusing or burning effigies of Porto or Benfica players?
