Leonardo Bonucci

What are you talking about?
£40m is a fair price for Bonucci in today's market.

BTW youll have to change your tag line soon, Pogba will be gone from Juve before the summer is out

No worries, at-least we won't let Pogba for free...

While Juve might sell for a ridiculous fee, why would he leave?

Would be the perfect signing and compliment to Smalling, allows him to be the #2 centre-back and takes off any pressures of being a leader or a ball-playing CB, neither of which he will ever be, gives him a world-class partner who's experienced, good on the ball and can lead the defence.

That said, this isn't happening in a million years.

Where exactly you found this Juve rebuilding stuff? He has a contract till 2020 and plays a vital role in the team. Every team has some young 'potential' waiting, that doesn't mean all of them are putting their stars for sale. 40m is peanuts today to even start considering such a sale.

Assuming the quoted post meant 40 Million pounds, it's not a peanuts. CB and 29 year old, 40 Million pounds means it's more than 50 Million Euros. Since when that much money was considered peanuts especially for an Italian club?

New TV deal means English clubs have shit load money to burn, not every club in Europe. 50 Million Euros is lot for a 29 year old CB, IIRC it would be record breaking transfer for a defender.

According to Sun and Metro, Leonardo Bonucci has agreed to join Chelsea on a £130,000-a-week deal. Now Chelsea are preparing to launch a 32M bid to convince Juve.

I know it's Metro and Sun. But if the reports are true, it's worrying. With the addition of Bonucci, Chelsea will have the best defense in PL under a manager who has a very good defensive record. With just this signing, Chelsea will immediately look very dangerous. If he signs for one of rivals, it will be a huge boost for them.

If Bonucci indeed is available and open for a move to PL, we should break the bank and get him.

David Luiz.
40m is not very high for a defender when he is clearly a very top class player. Like I said many times, his contract runs till 2020, you have to take into account that. Repeating the same point that Italian clubs are not rich is redundant and illogical. Just because they are not rich like EPL doesn't mean they are going to sell their players for free. Juve is still better than any EPL side now, IMO.

40M is definitely big enough amount for Juve to seriously consider. We should be in if there is chance of him fancying a move. Give Juve Rojo in part exchange.

The Italians are very wily when it comes to transfers and I suspect that Conte will try his best to take Bonucci to Chelsea.

2 possibilities:

1. Bonucci is considered as irreplaceable: 29 years old so the idea would be to continue with him until he is 34 years old (for instance, Barzagli is 35 years old)
2. Great opportunity to sell a 29-year-old player at a very high price and try to introduce a young defender.

I would be surprised to see Juventus selling both Pogba & Bonucci.

As usual, there are 2 key factors of success: the transfer fee & the salary package.

I didn't say anything about Juve selling him, I said 40 Million pounds is lot of money especially for Italian club. Bold part doesn't make any sense at all.

You need to understand basic concept of money - it's an absolute entity. 40m is 40m for everyone, you don't hav a scale which says 40m is 80m for italian club. I can very well say that just because they are poor (in relative sense), they will try to get even more than what is market price. EPL clubs are loaded they should have no problem in paying more.

If you got no other point than repeating for the 79th time that Italian clubs are poor and everyone is dying to sell their stars to EPL, please don't quote me.

Heard nothing of this in Italian forums.

Where did I say that? All I said is 40 Million pounds (which is more than 50 Million Euros) is not a peanuts for a CB.

Also 40M is 40M? Yes. Is it worth the same for 2 clubs with different financial strength? Not really. For example, 20 Million pounds is not much for English clubs but 30 Million Euros is lot for Italian clubs, go and check their financial state before just randomly making things up.

Again, show me the post where I said clubs are dying to sell their stars to EPL or even Juventus would bend over for 40 Million. Stop arguing with imaginary points.

ESPN's Miguel Delaney reporting that we have also enquired about Bonucci in Pogba talks. I would take him for 50M. He is exactly what we need to lead our defense. Make it happen Woody/Jose.

Can we get Dyballa and loan him back for a season or two while we are at it, :)

I doubt Juve will sell such a big name this window after selling Pogba. They have already lost key players like Morata and Cuadrado from last season, even though they were buy-back and loan cases. They wont want too much to change and Bonucci is a leader. That said, if there is any small chance of Bonucci being sold and Juve are open to discuss, we should be all in for it. At least half of his transfer fee we can recoup by selling Rojo and Blind in that case.

There is a small possibility this could happen, after all Bonucci is 29/30 and if an offer in excess of £50m was received then Juve would be silly to ignore it.

Benatia is only on loan and had injury problems last year, Barzagli is 35 and Chiellini will be 32 next month, plus they aren't going to ship out another key player to United after shopping Pogba to them, not to mention that it would only leave them 4 CB's for 3 spots.

Nothing to see here.

Only Alex Sandro and Rugani under 29, big defence rebuild for Juve in the coming seasons
