Anyone play this properly yet?

Just downloaded the demo and i'm waiting to get home to play it....Looks intense at hardest.

Oh and i did a search for any threads allready on this, didn't find any on the first 4 pages so i aint checking the rest

 
My mate told me about this the other day. Is it like an online Resident Evil? What's the jist of it?

Well its online, or play with a few mates or just play single player.

4 Characters to choose from so four people can play as a co-op....and the idea is to just survive really.

It has an AI director that adjusts the hordes of zombies and bad guys to how well your playing.

I've yet to play it until i get home, but my mate in work had it running for a bit.....looks like it could be fun as hell with mates but also very intense

Can't download the demo for Mac, which is odd as the full game is on mac I think.

IMO, yes

i completed the demo last night....its only a short taster really but i really enjoyed it....it has you tense as feck practically jumping at every noise and on hardest there are a lot of 'Oh shit' panicy moments...plus the co-op is good fun with mates.

Valve also created this and they created Half-Life which is the finest FPS ever in my opinion.

It can also pretty much run on any computer unless you have something classified as an antique.

But find out for yourself Spammy....get yourself a Steam account then download the demo....its about 2 gigs in size though
 
I might get this but I couldn't find a demo for Mac which is annoying.

Already got steam, I play Counter-Strike Source, have completed Half Life stuff. What's the 1 player like? Underdeveloped?

The same as multiplayer except instead of having Human controlled survivors fighting with you, you have computer controlled survivors.

The demo is relatively short....but its tough if you play it on the hardest level, your best off trying the demo though before you buy, its an experience and at least you've an idea of what your getting.

It also has this thing called an AI director, which guages how much hordes of infected you should encounter, and what types of infected and its all based on how well your doing.

Basically on hardest if you think your doing well....well then its just going to get harder

And it doesn't seem underdeveloped at all...well nothing i could spot anyways but i'm a big fan of Valve so i'm probably blind to the flaws at the minute, id allmost take their word if they said their game was good
 
How much do the English pay for new games these days? especially on consoles?

For 20 quid(which is less than €30) i'd say this is worth it.

Oh and....not entirely sure how true this is, but for multiplayer i think they have allready figured how to use HL2 maps in this game...before its released it allready looks like it might be pretty epic online.

Brilliant. There was one point when I was surrounded and getting hit from all directions that I just stood up out of pure instinct, like I was trying to run away...

Anyway, I'm getting this.
 
Its hard not to find yourself actually panicing a bit in this game.Especially if you get covered in that boomer bile....just keep your finger on the trigger and keep firing then
 
Is it just me? or is online connectivity a bit fecked up on this?

Finding it very hard to actually get connected and play this online

I've bought the final and got it preloaded. The demo is fecking mint :)

Me and four mates all teamed up and ran it on expert, took quite a while at first but its pretty easy now! Just requires some good teamwork, looking out for each other and being careful!

Absolute laugh though, would love to have a demo game with some caftards tonight if anyones up for it.

Is the demo going to stay active, or will they yank it when it is released?
 
Had a quick go of the full game this morning before work, miles better than the demo especially online :D

Can't wait to give it a good going over tonight!
 
feck...have to wait till this evening before i can play the full game.

What improvements are there online over the demo?

I have got the full game too, i cant put it down :D

PM me and ill add you on my steam friends. Me and some 'online friends' i play a lot of quake 3 with over the years are all addicted to it :) I'll try get you in one of our games if you want, we usually play it on expert for the extra added challenge ;)
 
Just got this on the xbox. fecking great game. Multi-player is fantastic; would be probably a lot better if it was semi-organized, but it's a new game and everyone is kinda shit right now.

Any caf people wanna crack, add me - my gamertag is Sir Leethal. I'm always up for a game if anyone's interested.

Had my first proper go at multiplayer last night(for various reasons i hadn't played Left 4 Dead much since i got it)

On expert this game is just insane....at first got my arse handed to me on a plate but had a go again and got better at it.

Last stand is just mental....i think at one point standing on the roof looking down at the hordes there was litterally hundreds of infected coming at us.

Great craic

Was good fun wasnt it. We only played that final chapter on advanced btw, expert is yet to come ;) The last stand part at the end of the campaign is brilliant all though quite challenging. I think at one point we were stuck in the stairwell covering each other with both doors being bombarded :D

I will be on again later as not out tonight!

Oh and the server, i didnt host it. I pay £6pm for a 4 slot server to play coop on with mates, feel free to hop on whenever you want, its 85.234.149.103:27140 just pull down console type connect and the ip and away you go.
 
No worries mate should be on later myself.

Oh:nervous: only on advanced...still pretty tough though....batton up the hatches and prepare for the storm hehe
 
i'm shit scared of running zombies, i tried to play this game but couldnt.

i cant do the inside bits. i keep running away!
