I'm sure you play with yourself everytime you see a new thread up there with your name by it.

;)

Nah, but I do automatically roll my eyes when I see your name up there, but I guess thats just conditioning. :p

It's a pity that a couple of prats continually try to stuff up pefectly good topics like this one. I suggest their contributions, if you can call them that, should be ignored as soon as they start their nonsense.

Anyway back to the topic in question. The Ridsdale quote has been widely reported and whether or not this means they intend to be difficult should Rio express a wish to leave and join us remains to be seen. However, why should Rio say that he intends to think about it following a heart to heart with Venables and agreeing to get back to him once a decision is made if Leeds will then refuse to let him go ? Surely Veneables would have pointed this out and told him their was in fact no choice ? It doesn't really add up. It may be Ridsdale trying to put last minute pressure on Rio to stay and nothing more. Of course they may try to make life difficult by demanding more than what United are prepared to pay but in any event, if a player has decided to leave and Leeds seem to be giving Rio the choice there is no point in standing in his way or holding out for an unrealistic price. All very intriguing with the ball firmly in Rio's court and not Ridsdale's, I would have thought.

Risdale is trying to squeeze us for every last penny he can get. Greedy bastard!

Question is, it it comes down to 'squeezing', how long can Leeds keep it going? Not long... They need the money to cover debts and sign new players.

That would also make Marching look like a bit of a tit too.. Grimsdale's gotta bear that in mind. ;)

Actually I think we're talking about Jaap losing pace...

While not having the brains nor composure to compensate for it ............

Israeli media has been quoting Pini Zehavi. One quote claims TODAY is actually D-DAY and everything will be decided. In another quote: "I am close to all sides but I am also Rio's agent and it's important to take care of his matters. Only Rio will decide".

The paper also says there were marathonic discussions for a couple of days now and that the whole thing is close to conclusion, yet not far from falling apart as well.

You're asking me for a gut feeling from Israel? Sheesh ;)

I think it seems as though Ferdinand has made up his mind and there are some talks in high levels. From what Zehavi says, it's obvious we're not in the state of 'no bids, no contact, no nothing', as Ridsdale would claim.

And if Ferdinand decided to go, I firmly believe he will go. The fact he hasn't said 'I'm staying', which would have solved all this, says a lot, especially as Ridsdale keeps claiming he's staying. Rio obviously doesn't agree.

I don't know whats gonna happen. Pini's right, it could go right and it could collapse. However, I don't expect the name official thing we hear to be anything as simplistic as Rio saying he's staying or he's decided to go and will ask for a transfer. The next thing will probably be an official statement like the clubs have agreed a deal or the whole transfer has gone through and he'll be presented at OT.

So I guess I do have a hunch after all. Thing is, I'm usually wrong with my predictions. Should have seen my pre-world cup article. <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Why is that LimpDick?

I don't remember you saying that Rio was going and you are supposed to have inside info.

You know like knowing that Smicer had signed a new contract last season when in fact he hadn't.
