If this is true then we would know the lineup for every team and every game well in advance of kick off. It isn’t true.
Wtf are you talking about?
Again, if we are so reckless that our manager discusses his team selection ahead of a key league game in presence of random club employees then we have much deeper problems as a club. This would never happen at a serious club.
They're not random employees, they're employees.
Again, there are NUMEROUS ways in which it could be discovered, stating it out loud is only one way. I won't repeat the other numerous methods (there's even a few more that I haven't mentioned).
I used to live near Bournemouth's training ground and it's visible from a public footpath. I could, if I wanted to, have got a pretty good idea of their starting XI before every game. Usually a security guard would shout at people to move on if they stopped and watched, but that was all.
Even though other clubs don't have training grounds that are visible from public footpaths, there's still plenty of people within the club who are in the building who can just look outside the window. Others will be in rooms with team sheets and what not. Players will naturally talk amongst themselves and to the non-footballing staff. Traditionally, employees are fans of the club and have the clubs interest at heart so theyre probably trusted more than people might think. I'm sure the masseurs and kitchen staff etc have heard far juicier gossip from players which doesn't see the light of day.
If the club is serious about cutting out on lineup leaks then yeah, they should absolutely be more cautious with what paperwork is left around, what convos are had in the hallways and communal areas.
If they are really serious about it then they should purposefully give false information to different employees to try and unearth the actual leak.
The leaks have been coming out of the clubs for several seasons now. So people blaming it on relatively new players is beyond stupid. And it's unlikely to be a player at all - at least not directly. They are multi-millionaires with nothing to gain from leaking info. People just assume it must be an unhappy player. Previously Henderson was blamed for it, cos he was mouthy about not playing. Well he's gone and it still happens. Maybe, just maybe, it is more likely to be one of the numerous employees who may be in need of earning a few quid a week by selling the info.
