LCD/Plasma

Around 5 metres away, I think. . . I can push it back a metre more, easily.

The Samsung 52" LCD's around £2K. I've heard they're better than plasmas, and they also don;t suffer from motion blurring anymore.

Reckon?

hmmm... i rekon you should sod buying a big one and just invest in a high quality one... say, a B&O lcd (can't tell the diff between it and a plasma) which you can change the angle at the touch of a button... excellent picture quiality
fantastic audio quality, good enough to rival bose...

for about 4k you can get a package for tv dvd+- and a on wall hifi, at no extra cost they will install the equipment and even hook your lights up to your remonte control as well...

aklso this tv yeah,
i mean it's just pure bad
it can change contract automatically to suit the light in the room... so when the un shines on your tv, you don't need to do squat, only squirm into your lazy boy chair even more and wait for the screen to tilt itself...

certianly worth a look over the standard tv;s about these days...

im gona get one myself, once i find out what'll happen with my future... whether or not i'll stay here or go to the usa :s

Then why get it over a plasma then?

Always felt that B&O were more style over substance.

I'd get a good quality 1080p LCD for your needs, although I'd only go for 42", too overpowering for me otherwise.

LG LCD

It's what I've got, and they're good

Weaste probably thinks they're fecking shit, mind

I knew it.

How much did it set you back? They're more expensive than Samsung, I think, but a couple of mates have Samsung LCDs and they're very happy with them. Also B&O's panels are Samsungs.

Sony Panels are Samsung for the most part I believe.

€1300, they are not that expensive at that size (42"), although some models are!

52", feck knows!

youd need to either be seriously rich or deluded (possibly both) to pay four and a half grand for a fecking telly

in which case id buy the fecker for my bathroom

in my main viewing room (which id create) it'd all be done by huge projectors

I got a sony

nice setup James

apart from the pink Wii remote

also Weastey will be along in a moment to debunk your photo for having a 30 in it

I have a 50 inch LG Plasma and it is fecking brilliant. If I could get 5 m away I'd prefer the 60 inch version. The colour on most (but not all) large plamas is much more realistic than on LCD screens IMO.
