La Liga 2019/20

Surprised thats a red card. Bad challenge but just mistimed.

The first 4 Madrid games are all easy, it should get them going. Today could have gone very differently but it’s a huge win to give them confidence

Looks like Celta Vigo are going to have a struggle again.

Checked and saw Aspas was playing, he pretty much saved them on his own last season in the run in.

They had a good team the year they played Man. United in europa but since then haven't signed well and look pretty weak.

It will depend how the three promoted sides get on. That could just save them. The escaped by the skin of their teeth last season.

Valencia-Real Socieded starting in ten minutes, think that should be a good watch (it was 0-0 last year though!)

La Real should be really fun to watch this year for people who like watching emerging young players. Merino, Odegaard, Januazj and Oyarazabal all starting, Alex Isak on the bench.

Only concern is their back 4 and keeper aren't as strong as last year, no Diego Llorente today.

One usually does better than expected. Leganes and Girona both adapted well when they came up two years ago. Granada made some interesting signings so I'd tip them to do better than Mallorca and Osasuna.

Game turned on marginal offside before half time.

Real binning the 3 5 2 with Hazard out and back to previous system. Interesting to see what they'll do when he's back.

Pretty surprising results so far, given pre season form.

Missed a good chunk of the game(between benzema's goal and modric's red), how was it? Celta had a goal ruled out, why?

Btw, we should always play these games 10 vs 11. Does wonders for our focus and effort and the result usually is we play them poor sods off the park and make them look stupid in the process, too. Like we just did to celta

Was marginally offside, 30cm max I'd say, so very tight.

Modric red looked harsh to me. Ref looked at it again on video monitor, guess figured Modric did him on back of ankle deliberately.

Kroos putting one in the postage stamp off the underside of the bar crushed Celta spirit just after red.

Looked to me like Zidane totally tore up all the work in pre season, and just picked and told team play like it's 2017.

Valencia- La Real been awful, I'll stop with my game recomendations.

Celta away is one of the tougher fixtures, far from easy.

Odegaard with some nice dribbles, just wish he'd shoot. Reminds me of Wilshere in his playing style.

Coquelin now. Handles ball from free kick, sent off and La Real score penalty in 100th minute.

Valencia must be a ridiculously frustrating team to support. Did well last season but so many games they dominate, overplay in final third and eventually just draw. Gameiro should be fined two weeks wages for that sorry excuse for a penalty, ended up costing them the match.

Amazed no one went for Chukwueze in the summer, outstanding young player.

Villareal-Granada is game of weekend, 4-4. Still 10 minutes left.

And yet those cnuts conceded 2 while playing with a man more.
Kroos' strike right after the incident kinda killed their momentum, and Real got back into it with more intensity.

Could only watch the highlights from Celta-Real.
0-2 Kroos
0-3 team goal
VAR takes too much time.

That 3rd goal was the zenith of team play. Telepathic-like understanding and collaboration.

Usually that’s the case. Not with this Celta though. They’ll be lucky to avoid relegation again
That doesn't make sense, it's like Valencia away, another tough fixture, irrespective of how they are doing in the league, we've seen it plenty of times.

Great to have Sunday night Spanish football back after Chelsea later.

Going by odd results so far for Barca / Real might be tough game for Atletico.

Interested to see how Felix and new look team get on against local grit of Getafe.
