La Liga 2019/20

So he is going to PSG with Sergio Rico as backup? What about the goalkeepers PSG already have?
1) Navas
2) Sergio Rico
3) Bulka (He played against Metz, 19 years old and they signed him from Chelsea)

Buffon: Back to Juventus
Trapp: Was on loan at Frankfurt last season and now it's a permanent deal
Areola: Obviously on loan to Real Madrid

Lucas Vasquez was the player that played most games for Real Madrid in their most successful season of the past 50 years.

Regularly played a big part off the bench in plenty of CL ties during their 3 CLs in a row too.
About time he won a Ballon D'or.

 Watch Martinez play him against San Marino and injuring him again. You just know it's going to happen.
Obviously. Won't even be a small injury, he'll be out like 4 months, just in time for the league to go down in flames and Mourinho's triumphant return

You know what now that it's done i'm kinda very mad that keylor left

Who the feck is the moron that kept telling Flo we needed a new goalkeeper

I'd have loved to hear the discussions that happened behind the scenes about signing a new midfielder.

If the plan was actually to sign Pogba or sign nobody then that was incredibly stupid.

Zidane wants Pogba and the club has other options. If they sign Eriksen or Van de Beek it would be an attack against his authority in the market,as he required.
(Although he got Jovic,Mendy, preseason in Montreal, the physical trainer that he required)
More or less that would imply that his opinion does not count, although otherwise try the signing of Pogba so slightly implies that they don't believe in Zidane in the long term.

The idea is to have a good relationship with PSG and target Mbappe next season I think

Trippier seems to be getting a lot of good reviews. Got to say so far he's been really good. With Koke and his usual tireless and selfless way in front of him it really seems a good match.

I'd personally like to see Atletico go with this lineup for the game at Anoeta. Oblak, Trippier, Giminiez, Hermoso, Lodi, Koke, Saul, Thomas, Vitolo, Felix, Costa.

I can see Savic starting if he's recovered from his foot injury as Hermoso is still settling in. Motata has been fine but you can't drop Costa off of that game and Llorente didn't do enough to start ahead of Partey. I'd be interested to see when Herrera will feature. Lemar, you can see is adapting to being a Simeone player with his pressing and work rate and though is passing is top notch he still doesn't feel to be deserving of a starting place over Vitolo who's looking like the player of his Sevilla days.

I think this will be a theme with Atletico. A lot of options and depth and if Simeone can keep them all happy then they are a strong contender because they seem to have great spirit and quality. It feels like something exciting is happening.

Just been watching Girona-Rayo in the Segunda. How on earth did Stuani not get picked up in the summer? Scored a hat-trick today and had amazing scoring record last two years. Just down to age?

And in a brand new installation of "And then there were none: real madrid edition", Luka Jovic is now injured. Again

Could be that he also really enjoys it at Girona and wants to go straight back up with them. He's not nearly been as prolific in his career as he has with Girona, maybe he just finally found his home as a player.

Valencia about to sack Marcelino.Celades could be already this evening in the training city

Official now.

He obviously doesn't deserve this but I don't think he was doing as good of a job as many believed.

Why they sack him? Something must have happened behind the scenes. 1 win, draw and loss isn’t enough justification to sack him considering they started slow last year too.

It is not for sporting results but for a confrontation that comes from months ago between Marcelino and Alemany (the Dof whom Lim also wanted to sack) against Lim.
Differences in sport planning(a CB,the possible sale of Rodrigo, etc) and press statements on this, indirectly facing Lim

Kinda pulled a mourinho, though in a far less toxic/hostile way and the owner saw it as a personal attack against him

Owner has been kinda openly feuding with management all summer

Marcelino was doing a very good job there, him and SD Alemany managed to give them a semblance of stability after years of disfunction, but i guess Lim likes the disfunction

There's some trepidation now over whether alemany will quit or not

They were pretty poor for 3/4 of last season, maybe not in general performance but so wasteful infront of goal.

Rallied at end of season to get top 4 and also won their first trophy in over a decade. Maybe could've beaten Arsenal to get to europa final but they got CL through league qualification.

He met the remit on the pitch, obviously big differences off the pitch but given this is Celades first major job I expect them to fall back into the pack rather than improve and properly challenge the big 3.

Wonder if premier league club will go for Marcelinho in near future, certainly a good enough record in Spain to attract interest.

Edit: Wonder if Mendes made quick call to Mourinho to gauge interest, Valencia hardly the worst level to come back into management.

Cañizares, who now works on the radio, and is a fairly recognized voice among Valencianistas, has said that Celades has lost all concept of honor and ethics.
He has also said that the sacking is because Marcelino does not trust the academy, and that Lim is obsessed to see Kan Lee and Ferrán Torres play.
Celades must include them in the team

Messi interview on sport (views on Dembele):

Dembele is impressive talent who can do whatever he wants. This year will be very important for him to make the step up that Barcelona fans want to see. He needs to make that change to be more professional so he can be a success at Barca like he wants to be.

Maybe last chance for Dembele this season. If it continues, he is getting sold by next year.

Modric injured

We'll send Raul's Castilla to Paris

42 seconds yellow card :D Mallorca vs Athletic Bilbao seems to be interesting game.

Mad end with the VAR.

Bilbao hit bar in 92nd minute and can't scramble in the rebound. Play is then stopped from the goal kick and penalty then awarded after VAR check. I thought it was very harsh handball call but the way it's looked at in europe I can see how it was given. Similar to Sissoko in CL final.

Anyway thought Aduriz was going to do his one step run up but he took more time and keeper guessed which way he was going and saved it. Even then a Mallorca player was well in the area when kick was struck so it really should've been re-taken.

After that Mallorca then scored in 96th minute but scorer was just offside.

Mallorca also missed a penalty in 82nd minute but I wasn't watching the game then so can't tell you how that all happened.
