La Liga 2019/20

I haven't watched the Osasuna vs Barca match but Osasuna haven't lost a league match at home since March 2018.

They were terrible last time they were in La Liga, looks like they're going to give it a really good go to stay up.

Didn't watch but Barca are very underwhelming away from home. Their malaise in CL knock out away ties seems to be spreading to La Liga now.

Will still be in contention to win title as they'll win pretty much all their home games but Atletico can go 5 points clear if they win so far more of a race than last year in the making.

Barca are owned by the fans. They will spend every dime the club has before they "do a United".

They did a United in early 00s. Remember that season when LVG came back for a second spell and they were about 12th at xmas. Had many seasons in the Uefa cup in that era and then signing of Ronaldinho really changed the mentality again and then Messi came along.

And to think there are still fools out there who think this team could still win the league without Messi. It's a very overrated roster.

Aaahhh Gaspart

How we miss you :(

I think it's good if Barca plays another game or 2 without messi. Let others take some responsibility.
There is no point to play both FDJ and Busquets at same time. Busquets is well past his prime. Valverde should have the balls to bench him. Same goes for Suarez. Arthur playing little higher will be better for him and the club. He was little too conservative last season, felt he was overdoing the xavi-impression. Need to take little risk at times and make use of the ball possession. Most Barca fans like to blame Rakitic a lot; yet he is the only one who can score a few goals from midfield. Honestly I thought he was more versatile that Busquets last few seasons.

I'd be amazed if Barcelona win more than 9 away games in the league.
If Messi is back, they'll easily win more than 9 away games. They won 11 last year and then dropped in some later on when Liga was already won.
They won 12 away the year before that.

There's just one or two who think that and you know which of those has a clear agenda.
That's now 1 win in 8 games without Messi playing.
Barca are good enough to scrape through games or beat some of the awful defenses like Betis without Messi but they'd struggle to finish Top 2 if he missed an entire season.

Barca fans are idiots with the way they treat Rakitic. Busquets has looked past it for quite a while now but I don't think Valverde has the balls to drop him for good. They should ideally play with Rakitic, De Jong and Arthur playing a bit ahead of them.

Atletico have a great chance to take a 5 point lead over the big boys. They need to take advantage of all of these slip ups. They have a good enough squad.

Hoping for an Atleti title win this season. This is their best chance. Both of the big boys are unconvincing and they need to take advantage of Messi being injured.

Diego Costa is like a CB playing as a forward. His strength to shove the cb away was incredible

Would be classic Atletico to start dropping stupid points early in the season

A 100 years from now we will have the 6 best forwards in history and our manager will still start Lucas Vazquez's ashes over them

@carvajal @Vato @GatoLoco

This is what VAR is like when the ref is good

So Costa head offside?

Looked on from the other angle.

Really hope IFAB change the offside law to daylight next year.

Would be loads more goals and big advantage to attacking team

Real Madrid playing 4-4-2?

As ever really interesting to watch Chukuweze of Villareal, imo one of the top young prospects in world football. Also good to see they've signed Raul Albiol so hopefully more secure at the back this season.

Master stroke from Simeone to bring Thomas on. 3-2.

Partey wins it! Even at very early stage of the season that feels like a huge goal. Harsh on Eibar.

Atletico might not be frauds this year afterall

2-0 down, to winning 3-2 with the winner being scored by the sub in injury time.

That being said, 7 minutes added on.

They'll have the whole of the metropolitano attendance in the box for the next 10, just to be sure
