Yep, you could be absolutely right.
 
They still badly need a striker, a Gary Lineker/Gerd Muller type poacher (which Ronaldo was in spades and then some).

If they can get Aspas and he reproduces his form for Celta, Real will certainly be competitive this year.

I Can't handle seeing Benzema being our main 'striker' anymore. I doubt I'll be watching lot of Real Madrid games this season, our team is pretty weak and our recruitment + bench pathetic.

:eek: Good thing we won 1-4 away to a pretty decent team after conceding first then.

I'm not Benz' biggest fan but he had a good game tonight I thought. Let's just give him a chance now that Ronaldo is gone.

For once, Real didn't steal the win. Both looked penalties. Shame for Girona because they played well.
 
The highlight of the game, VAR taking 3 minutes to inform the ref he'd booked the wrong guy :lol:

Also there was a potential penalty to Girona that deserved a look by the ref imho, VAR slept on that one
 
Would love for the little Huesca to claim another win today. 2 out of 2 as newly-promoted would be fantastic
 
Pione Sisto started the Levante-Celta match on fire. Great goal and also excellent assist for Maxi Gomez.
 
What a fecking goal! Huesca keep impressing. 4 points in 2 games are a great thing for a newly-promoted team.
 
So Guedes finally returns to Valencia for about 40 million. Not sure what took so long, but thats good news for them.

Sevilla. :wenger: Escudero out injured for a while is really bad news. Arana is not ready to be a starter for a couple of month. Maybe Vidal is going to play as LB/LWB. The club wanted to sign Mariano for ~35m, but Real Madrid seems to have intervened and is using their preemption right to bring him back for around 22m. Thats great news for Real and ends all the speculation about Rodrigo&Co. I think he is a interesting player and I'd have liked to see him in a Sevilla shirt, even so the fee was over the top.
Now Portu seems to be the target. He knows Machin and would cost around 18m. Not great but better than not getting anyone. Overall the club backed themselves into a corner by not resolving the problems with its attacking players in time. Ben Yedder is still at the club even so Machin doesn't fancy him. No takers for Nolito and Muriel. Vazquez was almost out of the door, but seems to have convinced Machin to work with him. Great first match against a completely overwhelmed side, but useless in the last match again. He is just frustrating me; he is not consistent enough to be a regular starter.
I am impressed by how fast Machin is getting his ideas implemented. The team looks very comfortable playing his 343. Still he can only do so much withouth proper player.

Nicolás Pareja is now playing in Mexico. Emotional ending to his Sevilla carrer. Great guy.

PSG finally caved in and sold at Valencia's price, probably because of FFP

And VAR in spain is a joke. Munian deliberately elbows someone in the chest -nothing. That's the kind of shit VAR is supposed to help with!
 
After the failed signing of Mariano, Sevilla is close to signing Portu, the agreement would be around 20€, which is his clause

Yes, I'm quite happy, I think he's going to play well. Weeks ago he replied to AS in twitter , for an article saying he did not want to be a substitute for Benzema and expected better offers. He answered something like "You can not say no to Madrid."
He wants to come and he knows his role.

I'm sorry for Mayoral, I'm really not sure if he's good or not. It is unfair to assess a player for 10 minutes every 2 months, but I hope he is lucky in Sevilla.

No news. They are still negotiating the sale of the club.
Today they asked him and he did not want to talk to the press.
From what I have read, he is a very conservative businessman and believes that the club has possibilities for the future and a good structure.
