Madrid get by far the most help with the ref decisions in Spain. Last time I checked the country's capital is Madrid, Real the flag team, and on Camp Nou there are signs with Catalonia is not Spain. Don't have to be a genius to know that 2 plus 2 equals four. It is political.

That being said Madrid deserve to win the title, and Barca deserve to lose it for being too arrogant with the weaker teams.

Last year there were independence flags and Barça won the league

This is a pure conspiracy theory. If Madrid really were favoured, Barca wouldn't have won the league by 1 point last year.

You have to admire Barsa's foreign fans who embrace the cause. I bet they whistle in the Copa del Rey

Last year we did better with the small teams. Had fewer off games. Also fewer situations like the already antological image with the ball 1m in against Betis.

@BringNaniBack would be proud

No conspiracies. Refs favor the big side, it happens in all the leagues. It's just funny when Madrid fans cry about the refs favoring Barcelona. It's hypocrisy at its best.

Have to say this is one of the few forums where posting your real location is used against you in a cheap attempt at irony.

And also a record of penalties that came from the 80´s and was smashed. I probably did some joke about that but not every week and trying to under estimate the success of Barça.

Of course, the spanish government is cruel with Cataluña. They should learn some catalan to support the cause

It's not irony. It's standard procedure. Happens not just here but in other fóruns as well. This is the football fórum and not the CE. But i understand you do what you must to be accepted.

The ref made one big mistake the whole game, the Aspas sending off.

I'm impressed how the Real fans keep such a cool head here. There are some people that are worse than Pique
Yeah, agree.

Madrid haven't won the league because of a great big conspiracy, they've won it by using their incredible squad, instead of having three players score 95% of the goals.

They absolutely deserve the title this season, the entire squad has earned it.

So every decision was fair? And everyone in Real's favor is unfair?

Last year was a laughing stock at times. Atletico probably should have won the title if their was any fairness IMO.

If we were to put 5-10 hours of taking each extended highlights of each Barca game from last season, there will be more clear penalties not given, than wrong penalties given. Messi and Neymar are the two best dribblers in the world. That means the are the players who are the most likely to get fouled in world football. And they are.

Given their questionable characters they are also more likely to dive. And they do.

Would love it Madrid bottled it against Malaga

Then again I hate Barca too so its a lose/lose.

Also less whining about conspiracies.

Everyone whines when they lose, I don't get the thing about "shushing" the other fans when we're all totally insufferable in that regard.

Messi does for sure. Throw in Biscuits, Alba, Dani Alves too.

You should try turning on the tv every once in a while if you actually care about watching Messi playing football, seems you've missed every game in his 13 year career

Messi has certainly dived in the past so claiming that he doesn't is just bullshit. Barça fans make him seem like a saint yet everytime he goes down he's got his imaginary yellow card in his hand, he dived in the past, scored with his hand, insulted refs, etc... He's good and he's probably the most well behaved out of the top players in the world but he's not the classy saint Barça fans claim him to be. He doesn't dive often enough to be known as a diver though, he usually stays on his feet even if there's contact. Ronaldo doesn't dive that often and by diving I mean falling without contact, he usually just goes down easily. Neymar and Suarez are two of the biggest cheats in football.

I don't know what it's like in Spain so I can't comment on that but here on RedCafe all I see is Barça fans crying while Real fans seem grounded. I suspect it goes both ways out there in the real world though

Well, that's probably because you hate Barca. Which also explains why you call Messi a diver, the equivalent of calling someone an alcoholic because at some party, once or twice in 10 years, he had too many beers. There is a nuance here that makes the difference, like the separation between habit and exception. Seeing Messi dive is such a rarity that it is attributed to a mistake, a slip-up, like a person with good manners cursing at times.

The refereeing conspiracy theories are glorious. I doubt any one of the complainers have actually refereed a game before or else they would know it's an impossible job to say the least.

About conspiracies, fixed leagues or bought refs? No, not everyone, I disagree.

We'll probably have lunatics like that in our fanbase too but you have to be honest here, there's a whole lot of cules that think (or at least want to make people think) that the world is against them.

I get that Catalans haven't been treated right in the past but times change ffs. That victim shtick gets really tiresome after a while.

Did you read anything I wrote?

I literally said he wasn't a diver. You have repeated what I said ffs

Except once every couple of years a scandal happens which involves corruption in footbal or in any other area. Pretending everything and everyone is fair is naive in modern society. You have to be circumspect at least regarding some issues.

Instead of pointing fingers to the league, Barça fans should blame their own board.

You're crazy if you don't think Dani Alves makes at least a 3 point difference for them this season. That's enough for them to be champions.

There's a little bit of everything. Madrileños have a reputation for being cocky and arrogant, and there are many radical madridistas(like Roncero), who believe that Madrid have every right to do and undo at will.
My father(madridista) says that culés have been protesting their whole history.
There are many culés who are realistic and others who only remind you of 2-6, the treble and who believe that football was born on 20/05/1992.

Every Barca fan I know blames the board and Lucho for this season first and foremost.

Pretending everything and everyone is fair is naive in modern society.

What is even more naive is thinking Barcelona is the only 'fair' team, Més que un club, an all that.

Not mention Barcelona have yet to receive a penalty against them at all this entire season lmao

They should of been down to 10 men inside 6 minutes against Las Palmas last weekend as well, but lets not mention that shall we....lol
