That should be a penalty.

Anyway, long time don't watch Barcelona. They seem pretty much weaker than they were with Xavi :wenger:

That's a penalty

As a biased fan, I might get carried away and say there's an interest to hurt Barcelona chances so Real can win this title, but when you look at the bigger picture of these games (and others by this Gil Manzano guy) it just reeks of a ref doing an awful job week after week
Malaga had a goal wrongly called for offside and had a free kick that could have been a penalty as well.

Was a penalty. Malaga a goal wrongly disallowed. Evens. Refs had been good all night but these two instances drags their performance down clearly.

And that's why I'm saying that this ref is doing an awful job, and if you see his other games they look a lot like this one, games where both teams can walk out of the pitch and rightfully say they got screwed by his calls

It takes a high level of incompetence to be able to pull that off in almost any game you get

2-0

Malaga had 2 wins in their last 17 games, that's how "good" our rival was today, and we lost 2-0.

Did you guys know who this match went of the first half of the season? With Málaga down on 2 players, 8 minutes of added time and Barcelona still lost and now this xDDDD

Barca can still win the league though, as they beat Real and then Los Blancos are prone to drop points somewhere. But the same thing can be said about Barca.

It only pisses me off we draw against Atlético today in such a lame manner, we would could have been ahead two more points now with a pending game. We could have killed the league today.

I really like how Messi shook the hand of the officials and opponents, a true leader. Also a nice gesture from him and Suarez to thank the away fans.

My god this post is a great essay on confabulation, starting with the fact that we didn't lose that game, it was a draw

Quality of the refs is shocking. You didn't get screwed tonight on the whole, but that blown penalty call was by far the worst mistake on the night. Second yellow to neymar a close second. Not that it was a mistake by itself, but it went against his use of cards all game

In fairness, both reds were correct, added time was fair, barca were denied a stonewall penalty and had a goal wrongfully called off for offside. Barca got screwed in that game

Anyways, :lol::lol::lol::drool::drool::drool:

Yeah, I'm exaggerating some parts but it was still a funny outcome that time as well!! I keep hearing and reading some jokes about that game and with today's result it was impossible for me to not bring that up, we merengues have to enjoy this moment.:drool::drool:

Our refereeing level might be the worst of European top leagues (I don't watch every league, but I doubt they're this bad)

It's not like "This ref was doing a pretty good job until he decided to sway his call to favour Real/Barça" when they help us, more like they're doing a lousy job every game but we're so dominant that we don't have many calls that could go bad against us, when we have a bad day and weaker teams get more chances around our area that's when the poopoo hits the fan and they get exposed not much as corrupt but totally inept.

PL is worse La Liga in this aspect though. Of course refereeing work this game is shocking, but in PL it happens on more regular basis.

If Real to win their game in hand, the league is pretty much over then, I think. Tough fixture are all at home.

Generally yes, but refs tend to go out of their way to help out madrid and barca. I mean, the amount of shockingly bad calls that go in our favour can't be explained with just "bad ref will always end up favouring the dominant team"

This season has been an anomaly in that they screwed you over. The Rijkaard and Pep teams routinely got help, we did with mourinho the year of the 100 points and have been since 2014/15, but this season has been truly, shockingly bad

On more important things, pepe has broken two ribs, will miss bayern. Unless Varane comes back, that means Nacho as CB against Bayern. We are officially f@cked

I think Nacho is very solid this season. I personally rated him better than Varane this season. No I am not talking about unreliability due to injury, but actual performance. Quite a few times I watched Real games, Varane had been shaky

Stop toying with my emotions :nono:

Varane's shaky, but he's physically dominant and when he's keyed in he's very solid. Nacho is just not good enough. I'd rather have the guy who might be nearly as good as Pepe on the night rather than the guy who will certainly be not good enough

Just look at his positioning on griezmann's goal today

We should just sign Kameni and then loan him out to every team that plays against barcelona

Agent Toni carried out his mission objectives as instructed:wenger:

Was going to remark that, he lost the mark of him and let him enter free to strike that ball. Not blaming the draw solely on him but I'd rather Varane starts ahead of him if fully fit.

I rarely watch La Liga but every time it happens it has ridiculous ref decisions involved. Málaga should've been 2-0 up much earlier, it was never an offside. Lovely game by the Málaga boys anyway.

The British commentator in the Madrid derby was ridiculous. Like Sid Waddel but less smooth and classy and for football.

Real appear to be on the verge of finally winning la Liga again. It wouldn't be undeserved either. Their "squad" has out preformed Barcelona. Their less fancied players have consistently contributed well when the BBC haven't been as effective or injured and they've ensured the first 11 quality is strong. On the other hand, Barcelona have basically let standards drop as can happen when you have as much success as they have. Players like Mathiu, Gomes, Roberto etc. are just such a giant step down from what they had, and the midfield is just not very special and teams know they can shut it down. I think they've gotten a tad lazy knowing they have the front three they do and have assumed they can sign "promising" or "filler" players elsewhere.

Also I think last night shows that Neymar needs to still up his level in order to claim the title of best player in the world. I really feel he's at the age now when this should be happening, but he doesn't consistently boss games for me. On his day or "run" he looks like he's on the verge, but seen from a distance, looking at a greater sample of time, he still has much to do.

If we start Gomes against Madrid or Juventus I might genuinely commit self-harm.
