I'm pretty sure that's not how "runners up" work.- Ballon D’or runners up x 1 (3rd place)

I’ve said years ago people will be surprised where Halaand and Mbappe end up when everybody was equating them to La Liga always having the best players in the world. It’ll be a the definitive sign when both are in England that this league is now the be all and end all of world football but it’ll be a stupid signing for an English club to make.
Those who do have a supporting cast won’t need him?Only for one that lacks the supporting cast to allow him to flourish.
He'll end up staying at PSG or going to Real.

You are saying this 6 months after JUDE BELLINGHAM turned down the PL for Real Madrid....I’ve said years ago people will be surprised where Halaand and Mbappe end up when everybody was equating them to La Liga always having the best players in the world. However, if he does go to Real and has similar levels of production as he did at PSG(and continues his CL excellence). And he also continues his current World Cup trajectory, you can argue for him over Ronaldo.
Sheik sheik sheik, sheik sheik sheik, sheik your booty.RM doesn't have a problem competing with EPL over signings, it's the oil money that the club can't compete with, and neither can any other real club.
One exemption to the rule? And even then Jude is English, he doesn’t have that want to experience English football since he is fecking English! You are saying this 6 months after JUDE BELLINGHAM turned down the PL for Real Madrid....
Eventually things will likely get to that point, but we're still very far from it
How many young megastars are around? The young english megastar turned down treble winning manchester city and a bigger contract for MadridOne exemption to the rule? And even then Jude is English, he doesn’t have that want to experience English football since he is fecking English!
Didn't Tchouameni turn down LiverpoolOne exemption to the rule? And even then Jude is English, he doesn’t have that want to experience English football since he is fecking English!
I doubt it will ever happen like that, the PL may have money but that's not the only consideration, the lifestyle and weather is a factor, especially when spouses get involved, Madrid and Barcelona are more attractive places to live compared to the the likes of Manchester or Liverpool, even London suffers a bit in comparisonHow many young megastars are around? Last summer players kept turning down arsenal and chelsea for a barcelona in crisis. Bernardo Silva has been trying to move there for the past 3 summers and only lack of money stopped the move from happening
The PL is too rich and getting richer, to the point it's virtially guaranteed that the big PL clubs will overtake the spanish duo eventually in the minds of player. They haven't yet though, not even close
And it looks like a brief to English media.. How comes it's broken by top English media gurus?Ah shit. Here we go again.
You have to make a go of mbappe on a free.I personally we’d rather stay away. These “ superstar” signings never work out for us.
Yes we are flush with money as far as FFP goes. We can definitely afford the £500m package he’d cost over 5 years or so would definitely be worth it as he’s the only player we would need to sign for the next 5 years. We have to look at bringing him in, he’s signing on a free - it’s a no brainer
When was the last Bonafide Superstar signing we made that too in their Prime which failed ?I personally we’d rather stay away. These “ superstar” signings never work out for us.

How much of that failure was our own doing and how much was that on player .Pogba.
Next question
"Will save club €200m per year & they will focus on youth / collective" - doesn't really go with the rest of Ornstein's report.Rashford PSG?
Didn't he tell them this last year?
Obviously Madrid is his destination. But ultimately, with his team behind him the destination will always be paying over the odds on wages. They seem to be money first. The only place he would go is Real Madrid anyway, let's not kid ourselves in pretending like there's a hope in hell he'd join us. And lets not do the whole "wouldn't take him anyway".... Because obviously that's nonsense. He's arguably the best footballer on the planet.
If Man City end up with Robocop and Mbappe we all genuinely might as well pack it in. Collectively agree that the next 4 years of football are just friendlies and nothing officially countsDamn. Him and Haaland at City is gonna be brutal

That being said, I do think Rashford is a good "we've got Mbappe at home" replacement if they want to try and replace like for like profiles.
Not at all. It's about knowing your worth. Every club in the world would do everything they can to get him.Obviously Madrid is his destination. But ultimately, with his team behind him the destination will always be paying over the odds on wages. They seem to be money first.
