Kyle Walker | The Flash

Do you think you should have kept Mazraoui? we were told he was injury prone but I dont think he has missed a single game through injury so far this season.
No, it was okay for him to leave. Mazraoui did have muscle issues and the big one was him playing for Morocco after not being over Covid completely and therefore having an inflammation of the heart muscle. That took him out for a long time.

Bayern does have injury problems this season, but normally they have Boey, Stanisic, Laimer and Kimmich for RB.

Might do some research on the relations between Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia
Always funny when someone spouts off about Cities owners and then they don't even get the country right.

The amount of times I've heard Saudi or Qatar... ADUG doing a bad job of sportwashing when they're washing for the wrong country.

Sure. Enlighten us on our Saudi contacts then
Well considering I have relatives that have been to Mecca, I'm pretty sure I know the difference.

Also if I knew that, I would be more specific, now wouldn't I?

He might not know specific contacts, but really hard to imagine the biggest foreign investor in KSA markets, and the neighbour and closest political rival in the region, would have some contacts high up if needed.
Even if you ignore the political tension over the last few years between Saudi-Arabia and UAE, Saudi paid good money for Fabinho. You don't really need contacts to sell them big names

Also why not just say "Citys contacts in UAE?"
Their throwing money at players over there as well

I find the supposed political tension way overdramatized. There's always some tension under the surface due to KSA being envious (with the cue being KSA copying UAE) of UAE's rise to importance, add to that a few alpha males wants to be solo top dog in the region, but in general they are extremely close. MbZ and MbS might be friends one week, and not the week after, but their respective countries cooperate massively on every sector below that.

Like Citys contacts in Saudi won't help with cash

City fans are so adorable acting like money is a concern.

Shameless. We all know it is not real concern. They haven’t operated like a normal club for decades now.

Embrace who you are. A front.

Think it is fairly obvious that the original poster fell into a trap of generalizing, despite his family members having visited Mecca

That might be, just found your statements on both countries pretty odd. Would have made much more sense if QSI was owning City.

His statement in isolation is not that farfetched. There's a pretty much 99% guarantee that Mansour and ADUG are on speaking terms with their KSA counterparts. But would they use that line to help with such small issues? Not that sure. Boehly looks like he's doing it. SJR also has business ties to KSA, maybe he will manage to get a response to a SOS this January.

Meccadonalds I think he meant
I would ask you nicely not to mock or make fun of the birth place of the prophet Muhammad(salla Allahu alayhi wa-sallam) or my relatives that visited the holy place.

You can make fun or mock me, or the so called leaders of Saudi Arabia, who are filled with double standards and blashepmous morals or the culture in the country that don't represent the lovely religion it is supposed to(which is a whole other issue...). But yeah, please don't mock Mecca.

Also this was basically my point(s) with my original post.

Didn't think I needed to go into specifics when it comes to a shady club like Shitty.

I stand by what I said earlier in this thread, he's not very good. Any talk of him being the best ever PL right is conflating his two real eras - one as a decent attacking fullback with no real end product and one as probably the most limited full back (almost centre back) in the history of the PL as a recovery player. Anyone with pace could have done the latter.

Good riddance.

Agreed. He was only decent at best in attack, great pace, constantly overlapping to create 2v1s, but limited end product. Then a decent inverted FB who played a simple passing game, made use of his pace defensively, but isn't great in duels or positionally. You're right I think people merge his two eras and different roles, as if he offered all of this at the same time.

The problem is you dont really have anyone in your squad who can do what he does for your team so not having him will be a problem for you in big games, there is only really Rico Lewis who is really not ready for that role yet and Matheus Nunes who is a bit of a liability defensively.

Maybe you should make a sly bid for TAA
They are signing Khusanov who is rapid. More of a CB but maybe they'll use him on the right initially.

Doesn't fancy the championship next season and needs the payday for his personal problems?

Well saying that, why hasn't any player in the pl done it then? If anyone with pace could.

He might be the fastest fullback in pl history, he's strong, pretty tall I think.

I don't disagree about his attacking, but I don't know a fullback that allowed his team to leave gaps at the back that he could fill in (feel free to add jokes).

No coincidence Man City decline has come when Walker lost his pace.

His pace made it for him , it certainly wasn’t his ability to actually play football.

I’m trying to think if this paragraph goes against his own main point (as in, stop sensationalizing his off the pitch life and talk about him as a footballer). Or does it only work with negative stuff?

Walker was always running from something. At the start it was the Lansdowne estate in Sheffield, where substance abuse was rife and horror woven into the tapestry of life, where Walker once saw a woman burned alive in her flat.

Edit: I don’t really agree with the potential rebuttal that I’ve made up in my own head of “he connected it to his on the pitch performance” as you can also write something equally abstract like “Walker is fast. Years or running away from his partners taught him that” etc.

Possibly does. Not enough to completely distract, but yeah the nail that sticks out.
