Mirror and Sun (I know) are saying Arsenal are in for him now. Would love him at the club, would give Vermaelen stiff competition for that 3rd CB spot and could turn world class. Problems with his temper though I've heard.

Seems like a pretty out of date view of Arsenal's defence. It was one of the best in the league last season. That said, I seriously rate this lad, and his more combative attitude might fit well alongside Koscielny's elegance. And as you say, they wouldn't have to worry so much about Mertesacker's lack of pace.
It was a more tongue-in-cheek comment than serious. However Papadopolopolopolous is a step above their current crop.
Not Koscielny, not by some distance. People just can't get their heads around Arsenal having a great defender again, otherwise Koscielny being one would be a truism by now. He's been superb without exception for two seasons now.

At first, yeah. But he has massive potential, and I think after a season or so he'd have a good shout of displacing Mertesacker.
Tbh I'm surprised Wenger would go for him. He is not very good at the ball and quite a robust defender who commits a lot of fouls which often get's him into trouble, even though I think that will happen less in the PL considering that refs are much more lenient than in the Bundesliga.
I want to like Kos, but every time I see him he does something so boneheaded it leaves me thinking 'right, who the feck rates this cnut? That was horrifying..' But a lot of people really rate him.
Koscielny makes a startling amount of individual errors for a "superb" defender.
Koscielny is an excellent defender, no two ways about it. Best we've had since the Invincible's back four.

Been some time since I saw a glaring error from him. The last one I can remember is when he did an abysmal job of marking Torres last season.
