KM's once in a lifetime, marvelous cricket sheep draft

Smith is great. His ban has lead to people forgetting how prolific he was for Aussies in Tests and ODIs. He was second best Aussie player in 2015 world cup after Starc.

I wanted him (and would have blocked him for you if I hadn't noticed the CPL problem) but he isn't at the very top tier of ODI batsman. In tests - Smith, Kohli, Root, Williamson. In ODIs many are better. Kohli, Root, Azam, Williamson, Taylor, Warner, Rohit, Amla and the other Saffers etc.

However this goes thanks for this draft it's been really fun and required a lot of head scratching. @KM must have had a nightmare vetting this last round

Taylor is not as good as Smith. You are just going blindly by averages. Out of that list only Kohli, Williamson and Rohit are better than him.

Your tagline is a joke
Taylor has been the 2nd best ODI player in the world since the last world cup

Fair. Amla was boss for a long time but he does miss some signature innings in ODIs. May be a by product of being SA team but even then he also failed in WC knockouts in 2015/2011.

Taylor has a much bigger body of work in ODIs, in this moment in time Smith is behind.

I think we can agree Williamson-Taylor is probably the GOAT 3-4 in ODI history. Thanks lads.

Great team. Raina is bit of a joke these days but in his prime was an absolute gun ODI player. Still remember his crucial innings in the WC.

People. Any suggestions or disagreements?

We were thinking that each we will divide everyone into groups of 3. Each thread will have a group vote. Everyone votes for which 2 teams will qualify from this group. Then the QF.

If everyone is fine with it, we can roll ahead with it.

Yes let’s try this.

So we'd presumably all vote for our own team and one other? Sounds good to me.

Mine is ready to go whenever. Glad I double checked the stats as some on the Howstat website were way off.
