Yep, I also still like him and wish he was our manager. Seems like a great character and his teams play the correct way. My hatred towards their current side has definitely gone down - no Gerrard, no Rodgers, they don't even have that many hateable players. Now if the sold Skrtel and maybe a couple others (can't even come up with names now really) I'd probably be nearly neutral towards their team. Strange because back in Benitez days they'd been so easy to hate.
It will come back once they start competing for top 4 regularly and their fans start acting like the natural order of things have been restored.

Maybe hatred is a strong word, dislike because of an association is understandable. I think hatred is used when a certain behaviour is presented. FSW and KKK behaviour to United was unacceptable to many, me included, that it quite easy to use the hate word. I do not wish them any good fortune. I also found slippy G's behaviour distasteful in so many ways. Can't say the same for many ex-Liverpool players as they don't display the same behaviour though they have the same association.

I don't hate anyone - let alone somebody I have never actually met. Football rivalry can bring that into play I suppose for some, I assume there are lots who would see Giggs in that category (obviously non-football related).
Of course I don't like certain people, footballers or not - but I think to actually really hate someone is another level up from that and if you don't actually know the person - irrespective of any specific incident - I can't see why the word hate/hatred comes into it.

Rafa actually trashes most other managers, even when he is no longer competing in the same league. Recently having another go at Jose. He might be god to you Scouse fans (which in itself is hard to understand) but he is very hard to like.
I agree with the Giggs behaviour, and I am sure we can list a whole number of other players/managers that have acted as complete twats.
I would wager that if someone did something to your family, let's say ISIS, you would have an immense hatred for them whether you had met them or not. Knowing them is not really the factor for most people, it is the behavior.

I could never stand Gary Neville , but am able to admit he is a top TV commentator/pundit - without it getting to that hatred stage. It's a bit school playground for me.

TBH, for Klopp's previous interest in players, I find journalists who've been close to Dortmund for years more reliable than Honigstein, no disrespect. According to such journalists, Dortmund had serious interest in three strikers with no particular preference mentioned: Benteke, Lukaku, Jackson Martinez. None of them have ever come to fruition.

Even if that was true, so what? From the top of my head Fergie, Wenger, Pardew, Mourinho, Aladyce have all trashed opponents. Rafa is no more or no less guilty than anyone else. It's the way of these things.

They've always reported that financially all are very ambitious to actually materialize. What I meant is that if they write that someone is a BVB target, it's reliable while sources as Honigstein or Fjortoff are far less trustworthy (unless it's a transfer from Dortmund to Bayern, of course
