Gaming Kingdom Come: Deliverance

It sounds way too clunky and slow for me to really enjoy but maybe I’m not giving it a fair crack. I’ll definitely try the sequel, though.
It is quite clunky, and the UI is bad. I still bring up like 12 different menus before getting the right one but it's not enough to stop me from enjoying. It's rare you get a game as freeing in terms of what you're allowed to do so I can forgive some foibles.

Very interested to see what they've done with the sequel but I want to finish this first in case of spoilers.

Still really enjoying this. It's very immersive because of how manual everything is. The amount of times I've said to myself I'll go to bed and tne I get distracted on my way somewhere doing a million side things.

The cool thing about it is you're not drawn to these side-quests because they're necessary, or they give EXP. It's just curiosity.

I'm at the point where I'm dealing with the pestilence in Merjohed and need to question the captive. I've developed most of my skills well and I'm able to take out a small camp of bandits on my own now, which still feels like a real achievement. Every person i kill really feels like I earned it because I've also made mistakes and been killed quite easily by just a couple people. The assault on Prybislavitz was a tough one for me, mainly because of the archers. The amount of times I miss by milometers  Just can't get the hang of the bow. Lockpicking drove me mad at first but I've aced that now. Very satisfying game at times.

Ugh, I remember attempting lockpicking with a controller. Made me want to tear all my hair out.

Then I switched to mouse and keyboard and discovered that it was in fact reasonably easy.

I changed it to simplified in the settings.

Advice for anyone doing DLC - Play through A Woman's Lot pretty much as soon as you get to Rattay. I think it's meant to introduce you to a lot of Slavitz characters and give you some background but it feels a bit redundant for me doing it so far into the story.

Thoroughly enjoying rebuilding Pribyslativz. Something very satisfying about it.

Forgot to say that to you. It's a nice little DLC.
