We'll see soon enough, but some of the info is a bit iffy. Shipped with 3D glasses? How do they know what make of TV you have? What if you don't have a 3D TV? Why is it being released on a Sunday?
Killzone 2 at times had trouble hitting 30fps in 2D @ 720p, so unless they have improved things significantly.....

Forgive my ignorance Weaste but I've watched a lot of 3D movies on my tv by using 3D glasses, even though the tv isn't 3D. Wouldn't it be similar to that or is the quality too high to use that?
The route Sony has chosen for 3D on the PS3 requires a 3D TV and shutter glasses, not the red and green thing.
I'll buy it if it ships with the 3D TV.

I just beat KZ2 a few weeks back. I can't say I was blown away. Decent game, but I won't be holding my breath for this.

So it's all going to go berserk tomorrow (October 13) at 8pm UK time on the PS Store. That's the time Sony will release a Killzone 3 theme that will also grant Killzone 3 beta access to the first 10,000 PS Plus subscribers that download it.
It's all kicking off a day earlier than the October 14 date originally announced, but SCEE has asserted: "We can now confirm that [the theme] will go live in the EU PlayStation Store at 8pm in the UK, 9pm CET and 6am in Sydney, Australia on 13 October."
We can see this getting very messy.
The process is simple; hand over some dosh to become a PS Plus subscriber if you're not one already. Sit tight until 8pm then log into the PS Store and be one of those first 10,000 to download the Killzone 3 theme. We'd like to think Sony will have it clearly signposted in the store. Then wait until October 25 when you'll receive an email with the PSN code to get the beta. Simples.
How will you know right away if you're one of the first 10,000? We don't know.
How will you get to it before the other billion gamers all frantically entering, exiting and re-entering the PS Store from 7:50pm? We don't know.

Brilliant idea to only allow PS+ subscribers access to the beta, rather than those who were the best players of Killzone 2 online. Makes perfect sense.

Any game play footage? The video a few posts up has been removed and the account holder stomped on.
I could try to find some, but most of it is from the multi-player. I think that they've learnt their lesson from last time with KZ2 when we basically saw the whole game well before release.

I thought Killzone 2 was brilliant, though it lacked a decent story and they stuck a load of foul mouthed language in for no reason.

They're probably just there to look good for the 3D.
oh yeah. what a mindfcuk that will be. be nice if you could turn them off in the options menu somewhere.

Will download this and give it a go, i really enjoyed the first killzone on the PS2.. Not played the second.
