Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

Apparently this source (Tanziloic) was the same source that broke the Yoro transfer

He's very reliable.
In contrast to the most commonly held opinion in here, I don’t really see the need for Kvara or any LAM really.

First off, I believe Fernandes is a very intelligent player and a very good choice for LAM. He showcased that against Liverpool. Secondly we have Mount who Amorim rates highly and we have to give him some more time (at least till the end of the year) to see if he overcomes his injuries and becomes an important player for us. Thirdly we have Garnacho who is talented, young (only 20) and still mouldable. Rashford is already surplus.

I think we have far more pressing needs for a LWB or 2, a ST and more CM depth given that Eriksen and Casemiro will have to be replaced. After that, having better competition for Amad than Antony offers at RAM as well as finding a GK to replace Bayindir and challenge Onana should be the next higher priorities for me. Not LAM.
Nah, Bruno is a pretty awful left 10. He can't dribble or play on the half turn.

Napoli would want to be utterly insane to even consider this from a footballing point of view.

Lets hope they are.

Yeah, also folks aren't factoring that Amorim's number 10's have to be comfortable making runs wide into space to receive the ball, which is most certainly not Bruno's strength since 100% of the time when he receives it there he has to turn around and look for a pass backwards.

One of my mates is a Napoli fan and says he’s an incredibly talented player, albeit a bit selfish, inconsistent and tires easily.

I reckon it’s one of those transfers which depends entirely on the price. Not one to overpay on.

Your mate is correct. He could become world class eventually but he isn't there yet. His lack of top end pace hinders him against aggressive full backs

Looks like they've already replaced him... with Philip Billing.

Conte is an absolute menace. Fully expecting Fellaini to unretire and rock up at Napoli any minute.

Find it hard to believe there is any chance of us signing him, suspect we are being used to push up the price a bit.

Nobody should expect to get a clear run at Kvara; more likely other big clubs throw their hat in the ring than sit idly and let him go elsewhere.

This calibre of player glitches onto the market and causes teams to think outside of the box.

Only thing id say is that Napoli know he’ll posture for a move at some point. If they think rashford could regain his best form in serie a.. why not. There is a really good player in there. He may really smash it in Italy. Suddenly he’s an expensive player.

Knew about the Cristiano bit but didn't know that he actually said anything about Manchester United... although I've tried to look for some quotes of this sort when we were first linked with him following the same logic.

Not that it changes that much, realistically. But if we stay in the race up until the very end it may be the tipping point.

It is quite obvious Liverpool will be all over this. They need a world class attacking talent to succeed Salah and he is probably the only one available. They probably had him earmarked for years, such is how they are run.

Has any credible journalist said we are interested? Or is our name being used by Napoli?

No chance we are spending 50-80m on a player in January. Unless Casemiro gets sold for an insane fee. He would be a dream signing for sure. We need a superstar in our squad, it's what is missing.

Case rumoured to go for around £25M plus we have Rashford looking likely to go, there will be money to spend

I’m not across the intrinsic details of our finances, but if we get 35-40 million for Rashford, that basically allows us to sign Kvara even if the deal is 80m+

Because Rashford is pure profit, and the deal for a new signing would be amortized over the period of their contract?

That would be my uneducated understanding.

The obligatory YouTube vid:

The biggest concern with this guy is referees actually calling the fouls against him and not allowing it to be open season on him for foul play. If that happens, it will be highly entertaining watching him turn players inside out, if he plays for your club, of course.

As can be seen, he operates comfortably on the inside channels, seamless even. Not sure how many are better suited for that left-sided #10 role in Amorim's system.

People must surely be able to see why Liverpool would be trying for him as well; they're not doubting he can do it in the PL.

I can't express how annoyed I'll be if we spunk 80mil on this guy in a position we're already stacked in, while we're in desperate need to spend that sort of money on a CM and a striker.

I don’t think he’s the right player suited for the 10 role. I’d much rather we signed Goncalves from sporting. Be halve the price aswell.

Hardly stacked.

Right now we essentially have three options for the two #10 positions in Bruno, Amad and Garnacho. And of those three one is already in his 30s, one is also our best wingback, and one was recently dropped for the local derby and hasn't started a game since.

And only one of them is a natural 10. Amad can play the position nicely though. Don’t get why we’d be going for wingers to play the 10 role? We’ve seen it doesn’t work with Rashford and Garnacho.
