We should have gotten him in 2013 before his knee issues
Why, wouldn't his knee issues happen regardless? I think we dodged a bullet, if anything

He did his acl and was unlucky to do it and you cant really blame him or roma for it.Why, wouldn't his knee issues happen regardless? I think we dodged a bullet, if anything

Think he'd be a great signing. The Carrick replacement doesn't have to be a Carrick clone. Strootman has looked tidy enough whenever I've seen him and would be great with pog and Herrera. Slightly similar to Schneiderlin but seems to have a bit more authority about him.
Still think blind should be given a chance with pogba and Herrera though. Seems ages since he played cm for us, maybe his time in defence has added the discipline necessary to anchor the midfield. Not mobile but Carrick wasn't.
He has suffered already an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament. So, we should be looking elsewhere. I'd go for Paredes who's also younger and would be more of a Carrick replacement than a Herrera one
Is his form anything like pre-acl injury? He was pretty good back then, wasn't he?

We do love injury prone players don't we?
I think he's been injury free for over a year.
even Gundogan was and Hargreaves prior we bought him from Bayern
So was Ruud. What's your point.
Ruud had 1 injury in his entire career. Which was pretty straightforward too. Strootman had 2 knee operations, a cruciate ligament and back trouble. He's a wreck
No. And that's why there's nothing in this story.Does Mourinho ever sign players with bad injury records?
Ruud and Keane also had cruciate ligament operations and came back better than ever. Unless you have seen something about Strootman in the present that suggests he will get injured again I suggest you give it a rest.
His left knee had been explored more by doctors then tourists had visited London. Its good for both Strootman and us if he remain there. The Serie A is played at much lower tempo and is far less physical then the EPL
Again, unless you know something know one else knows about his current condition, you're just smearing the player with your own anxieties.
Name me a player who had a past filled with injuries at a previous club but things got well once he signed with us. Its usually the opposite
Rumours picking up with some Dutch article saying that we're in advanced talks to sign him (not sure how accurate the rumours are though).
That's all irrelevant. Each player is different than the other. If he has fully recovered then he has recovered. No need to attack him or suggest another injury is imminent.
Each player is different and yet all players who came with an injury prone past saw their situation get worse once they came with us. From Hargreaves to the Da Silva twins to Jones right to Micheal Owen. We weren't able to repair our own injury prone players (ex Wes). That doesn't fill you with confidence
No. And that's why there's nothing in this story.
Conversely, you have Ruud and Keane who successfully recovered from major knee injuries. Everyone is different so you don't know. What I do know is if Mourinho pursues him, the club will have made the assessment that he's in the clear.
They both suffered from 1 injury which needed alot of recovery time but was pretty straighforward. Strootman has been in and out of injury for quite some time. He's more like Hargreaves, Jones and the Da Silva twins on that regard

It's quoting soccernews.nl, so it doesn't sound very accurate.
Yeah nothing really in it at this stage. Di Marzio will likely be the one to watch out for.Yeah it looks like its bouncing around between the Sun, Express, soccernews.nl - some quoting a skysports italia article that seems hard to find. I'll wait until some of the major journos like Di Marzio, Ogden etc start talking about it before believing it.
We couldn't find more underwhelming at this stage. Keita, please.
