All I have to go on to judge Mendez is this youtube video, but he looks fantastic in this video. Question is what's best for his development if we're serious about procuring him? I'd say a year in the Dutch league.

Use him like we did Ronaldo. The Dutch league is shite, look at the strikers that tear it up there and flop elsewhere. It's no good playing uncompetitive football surrounded by dross.
Eeehm Bony is the best scoring striker in 2014 in the BPL, look at how Eriksen is doing, Spurs topscorer and the other one is Chadli. Look at Suarez, or further ago Huntelaar. If you look at Dutch teams in Europe this season, look at how good good Ajax was in their group. In only one match they were blasted away by Barca, but in the other vs PSG and Barca they bid good strength and resilience, sometimes even dominated them. Or Feyenoord who won a group stage with Sevilla in it, and just declassed them in the Kuip. In another thread you said it was Championship level, that's just bullocks. The lower teams could be of that level but the Eredivisie itself is of much higher level. Look at how players like De Vrij, Indi, Cillesen, Janmaat, Blind, Clasie, Wijnaldum performed at the world cup. You must be having a laugh.
That's not true. A lot of good players have arrived in the PL in the last years like @Sammyjunn has said.
The dutch clubs are doing well for their money and some clubs are playing good football. I would rather watch Ajax vs PSV than Stoke vs Hull.
Should go to a team that uses a second striker and those teams are getting rarer by the season. He's going to be a great signing for whoever gets him.

Watch him go to a Roma, an Athletico Madrid or Porto / Sporting Lisbon and then have them add a couple more zeros to his transfer fee in a few years!
