Keano is BACK!!!

Keano might be on the bench for the second leg and I think that both he and Becks will be available for the final (assuming we make it).

I still feel we will win the double. Biased tw@t that I am :D

Look at they defensive record, they have conceded a shitload of goals (23) in the CL so far.
Furthermore they were totally outplayed by Arsenal and Juventus away.
So when you look at the current form of Giggs, RVN, Scholes, Ole, etc., I think we are capable of
beating them by 4 goals or even more. :)

is Fortune definetly out for wednesday? any news on him?

It is difficult to say if we should deploy Ole up front in this match because Giggs behind RVN has worked so well in the last matches. But then again it would be unfair to leave Ole out considering his current form...

The sky sports link just posted above says Fortune is out with a hamstring injury. :(

For those of you needing additional sources to convince yourself of the astonishing news.
The man is indeed a god, what powers of recovery. I am so pleased that he will be able to take part in the final in Glasgow, after 99 no one could be that unlucky all over again.
God Bless Roy Keane

Roy Keane is on course for a sensational early recovery from injury - and a potential European Cup final appearance - after resuming training with Manchester United way ahead of schedule.

The 30-year-old United skipper was back in action at the club's Carrington training complex on Monday just three weeks after tearing his hamstring against Deportivo La Coruna.

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson said at the time that he would be sidelined for four to six weeks - with his Champions League dream and World Cup preparations appearing to be in tatters.

Keane famously missed United's epic European Cup triumph in 1999 due to suspension, but Ferguson confirmed he is in line to rub out that particular nightmare - and lead the Republic of Ireland's bid in Korea/Japan this summer.

The Scot said: "He trained yesterday and he's trained this morning, but he won't play tomorrow. Hopefully maybe next Tuesday he will be ready. I've been very surprised at his progress - he's remarkable."

United are just 180 minutes away from the Hampden showpiece on May 15, with their semi-final first leg against Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday night. And Ferguson said Keane is determined to play a part in the crucial return fixture next week.

He added: "I think the treatment we have given him was different. He spent three days in an oxidisation cylinder, four and half hours a day, and that certainly helped his recovery. He had treatment on Sunday, came in the next day and felt great and wanted to train with us."

In addition to the injured David Beckham and Ronny Johnsen, United will also be without Quinton Fortune, who has a hamstring injury. However Juan Sebastian Veron has recovered from his Achilles trouble and will line up in midfield

Happy now Niall? Come on the feckin' Keane!
