Same. She is on standby though, so there is still a chance.Really happy for her. Shame for Maya.
Pre-tournament late injury drama is pretty much a given for the England men’s team so it would hardly be the most surprising thing if she was a late replacement for Bright or Bronze, particularly as both are coming back from injury.Same. She is on standby though, so there is still a chance.
“If you look back five years ago to what we’ve mentioned, if you were to keep that transformation another five years on, then it’s scary how far the club would be advanced.
“I think women’s football is growing at a really rapid rate and it’s up to us and Manchester United to keep up with that and hopefully in the future we’ll have some more stars coming [through].”
Yep, I don't think she's a one to one swap with Walsh, but then I don't think England have got a player who is. I think that midfield formation may need a reshuffle. Fingers crossed for England and Katie that Wiegman can find the right combination. She is technically brilliant, just needs a runner/destroyer next to her, works great with Ladd and gets overrun without her.
she deserves a chance for England just think it should be with Walsh (type) not instead of.
Wiegman certainly did find the right combination (and formation) and I thought Zelem had an exceptional game v China. I don't recall her losing possession or giving the ball away at all and she kept things ticking over in midfield. It was a very confident and assured performance.Yep, I don't think she's a one to one swap with Walsh, but then I don't think England have got a player who is. Hate? Are you serious? Hate? Disappear, you absolute troll.I am always stunned at the hate she gets, nearly everything good we do goes through her, yes she needs a destroyer next to her, but take her out and we would create nothing.
the hate is even more strange when Toone gets none and has done nothing of note for well over a year, if we are looking to replace a player in the first XI I know where I would start.
From the looks of that graphic it’s pretty much all from corners. Men’s team need to get her on set piece coaching. In 16 matches!
I don't know if that's the same as the "big chances" metric they use in the PL - if it is then it's a huge number. Even if it isn't it's still a lot of chances
Her setpieces in general are usually excellent. I wouldn't mind seeing her score another one direct from a corner either - Saturday would be a good moment for itFrom the looks of that graphic it’s pretty much all from corners. Men’s team need to get her on set piece coaching.
And notice how every team has corner takers, but none of them creates anywhere near what she does. And after Russo left, it’s not as if United have total dominion of the air space. From the looks of that graphic it’s pretty much all from corners. Men’s team need to get her on set piece coaching.
Don’t rate her that highly but still weird seeing so many players go on a free.
What the feck is this shit!
Why are they letting her go?!
Big players for us, integral players. It tells you everything about how the womens team is being run. The fact they all choose to leave when they can.
You wonder if they would just love them to relegated so they can then get rid of the team. The women's team give the little girls who are fans something to aspire to. Somewhere for families to go in a safe environment.Yep it doesn’t seem like an environment any players would want to be in. Surely at risk of losing Toone as well if this continues.
