Sky reports he is our first choice to replace DDG . Thoughts?
I would be ok with him & Romero competing for our number 1. We need to focus on other positions, since we need top class players in probably defence, midfield, & attack. So I'd rather see us buying one of those first, then spending 60 million on Oblak. If money is not an issue at all, then sure buy Oblak.
Anyway, I believe DDG will stay, especially if we get CL.
He's bang average. Forget who his dad is and I suspect not many would want him. Buying players nowhere near good enough for us is what has us in the mess we're currently in.
This is a goalkeeper that won the league with Leicester City being the number 1. He isn't that bad and is entering his prime age as a goalkeeper at 30. I would take him if he costs 15-20m
Probably pick up Morgan and Huth given they were the first choice CB's with a PL winning side.

Don't be silly
People will always be inclined to have extreme negative reactions to players like this, more so in the keeper position because of what we have in DDG.
IMO Kasper wouldn't be a bad option, prem experience, a real leader, very good as he is, who could improve yet, yes he'd not be a sexy name, or cost £60 million, but he could fit us well.
He's decent, would take him as backup 'keeper if the Romero to Inter Milan stories are true.
What's wrong with that? I see 4 warriors.Would be devastating if he's meant to replace De Gea
Schmeichel, Keane, Dier, Willian
The summer of nightmares
Romero is a beast for us every time he plays, I don't see why he shouldn't take the number 1 spot.
Or, y'know, people don't want to lose a world class player and replace him with a massively inferior one. This 'sexy name' rubbish is cliched nonsense. I don't think Shaw is a 'sexy name' and we were all delighted when we signed him.
No one wants to lose DDG, but personally I'd rather we didn't force him to stay this time if he does want to go.
There's certainly something in the sexy name stuff, I bet many people would be happy enough if DDG went & Donnarumma came in, and I'm sure many would rather Varane over Keane, it doesn't mean they are the better options for us. Much the same as so people had issues with Lingard's new contract.
I'm not saying Kasper is ideal, but I'd rather him than Navas, or Hart.
And when the DoF wants to buy Schmeichel? This is why we need a DOF - so we don't go after shit transfer targets. Sick of some of the footballing decisions we're making. If Jose plans on strengthening the defence and is not bothered about the keeper, then give our young Perreira a chance instead of spending unnecessary money on Kasper.
