Kasper Dolberg

Considering how defensively we were playing, shouldn't be surprising their striker suffered the most with that, he got no service whatsoever. Still just 19 years old, we'll hear plenty of him in years to come. He'd do good staying with Ajax at least 2-3 years before moving on.

He didn't do anything but then again Rashford had a really poor game too and we all know the talent he's got.

Dolberg should definitely stay with Ajax for a year or 2 yet regardless.

Dolberg had like < 5 touches all game. That's piss poor performance.

Yeah I'm not excusing him he was poor. They created literally nothing though, we completely shut them out and for a poacher like Dolberg that makes him useless.

I mean throw any striker who relies on his team to create goals in that Ajax team and they would have done feck all too.

Reminds me of a younger version of Kane in that he's more of a finisher than a producer. Kane also struggled against Smalling and Blind and barely got a sniff of the goal last season.

Traore is much the better player.
that comment can only come from someone who only saw last nights game. Traore blows hot and cold. what did he achieve yesterday. mazy runs with no end product. Kasper is a much better all round player. he had no service last night

Actually Traore was loaned because Ajax didnt have a striker which also made Bosz promote Dolberg. Dolberg did so well as a striker that Traore played almost all games as right winger.

Traore is a weird player. He misses so many chances.. if he had more end product he would play for Chelsea instead of being loaned out all the time. The Schalke game for example.. he could have scored 5 goals or against Feyenoord at home he could have scored 5+ goals.

Also many Ajax fans are hally to see him leave, he was shit at first and called Bosz his favorite and the Ajax fans would prefer Justin Kluivert to play on his position.

Sorry, was meant to say 'was much the better player'. Would be very harsh to judge him the overall better player on the basis of a single game.

That said Traore does look a talent, raw yes but there is something there which can trouble high level defenders.

He's actually not a poacher, he's more allround than that, creates alot himself too, just look at some of the goals he's scored this season. He actually joined Ajax 2 years ago as a winger. Last night was just a poor game.

He completely went missing last night - though anyone with a half a brain understands why this happened.

The Huntelaar comparison is interesting. Huntelaar was nowhere near Dolberg's level at 19 years of age, but both players have that truly exceptional finishing ability and share similarities on first glance. In terms of physical stature they seem pretty interchangeable (or at least they will be when Dolberg's matured a bit).

However I would say Dolberg is marginally faster than Huntelaar, comes across as less stiff, a bit smarter on the ball and better at bringing others into play, and also his movement outside the box/on the break seems to be on a higher level than Huntelaar's. So basically a Huntelaar with better allround ability, might not sound that spectacular, until you realise how sick Huntelaar's goal scoring record has been at times and take into account he's never really been good at anything other than scoring goals. If this kid doesn't make for a very interesting classic #9 prospect, I don't know who does.

The guy is 19. Didn't get any balls. Didn't play a great game.

But please don't compare him to Huntelaar. Huntelaar is striker who lives for the goals. Dolberg is so much more. Just wait.

He's got a funny face. Looks like a lego character.

Dolberg has really something special, and the potential to succeed at the highest level. But keep in mind that he only played one year in Ajax's first team. Right now he isn't stable enough for our dutch mickey mouse league, let go for the premier league, for his development he has to stay at Ajax for at least two more years. Luckily, he is a intelligent guy, and realizes that leaving now and go for the fast money would be stupid. It's sad but nowadays clubs like Burnley can pay a higher salary than Ajax, only as player, you probably won't find a better place to develop than Ajax. And dolberg is willing to invest in himself and i don't think he'll leave amsterdam soon.
You could see in the final how intimidated and inexperienced our team was, they couldn't handle the pressure. I am sure that in few years it will be different.
Traore will never be suited for the highest level. He has skills and technique enough, but lacks intelligence, he has no idea what he is doing. And isn't aware what happens on the pitch. And you can learn players many things, but blindness is incurable.

Dolberg will likely develop into one of the best strikers in 5-7yrs. he has all the qualities, particularly those that cannot be taught.

As you can see almost all posts for Ajax supporters are similar. We have seen so many talents, that we can quite well estimate wich player could perform on the highest level. You won't believe how terrible Zlatan performed in his first year at Ajax, but sometimes he showed his potential. Therefore we all knew that he would be world class later. Dolberg also sometimes showed he has the X factor, but still needs much time to bolster.
I..m.o the players at Ajax who could become top-level, are Onana, Sanchez, and Dolberg. Our best player, Hakim Ziyech has exceptional qualities but i doubt he's suited for the PL, he needs to play in a passing team and would drown in a kick and rush team. (Just like f.e Eriksen)

Not sure how reliable the reports are, but rumors that he is going to rejoin Bosz at Dortmund in January. Would be a solid step up.

Hasnt reached his form, Ajax isnt playing too well. Would snatch their hands at 50 million, still a top talent I think but needs to impose himself more.

I doubt anybody is going to pay £50m.

I don't know which reports you are refering to, but chances are that they're based on Bosz's answer at a press conference the other week which was revealed to be a misunderstanding.

50 million Euro's, Monaco wanted to pay that.
I wasn't aware of that. I don't think he has done enough to be worth that sort of money and I am surprised Ajax rejected it when they will have no Champions League or Europa League money this season.

He should stay with Ajax until he's 22, in my opinion. Keep learning his trade.

He'll be 21 at this time in 2 years. That's the time to move.

Nor do I think the likes of Sigurdsson, Paulinho, Stones have but thats football nowadays.

Ajax dont need the money so can ask ridiculous fees, they have underspent every transfer period since Sulejmani, and maybe last summer with Neres and Ziyech.

We already sold Sanchez and Klaassen for about 70m this summer. Also Riedewald and Tete for another 10+. Last season we sold players for 80m as well.
We can't buy top players so at some point you have to wonder if selling players even for crazy prices is worth it.

How is he doing ? Any signs of a big improvement ? Interested in seeing where he is at at the next summer transfer window.

At the start of the season Huntelaar was preferred to him. He's started playing more since but his goalscoring record is much worse than last season's.

He has just turned 20, right ? The next two seasons will be crucial for him. At some point we will have more clarity over will he become a top young player or another Januzaj.
