Kamaldeen Sulemana

Feels like he's from the Doku/Saint Maximin school of looking dangerous and having his fullback on toast all game without actually producing anything from it.

That weird combination of having the speed and the skill to absolutely cook most defenders he'd come across, whilst at the same time looking absolutely shite infront of goal

Pace merchant. Even the best of them (Adama Traore) is not good enough for a top team.

Yoro struggled with him because of the vast amounts of space to run into and Yoro’s inexperience (trying to run with him instead of using his physicality to push him into less dangerous areas, like De Ligt did).

Yeah there is a real rawness, no chance any of him, Dibling and Fernandes will play in Championship

He should by now be talked about in Vinicius terms but he's had terrible luck with injuries since signing for Southampton which has held him back. Only thing missing from his game is the final ball as was on display tonight.

Should we try and sign him, definitely reckon Ruben's coaching could help with his end product

I am impressed by this lad yesterday. He is rapid, how he dribbled past Leny Yoro and almost scored the second goal. We should sign him up just for his pace.

3 goals in 57 for Southampton isn't great. That includes a season in the Championship.

We really don't need more players with lacking end product. He'll be 23 in a month. Don't think we should expect big step changes in ability.

I was thinking ASM also last night. He turned Yoro inside out all night. If he could find his finishing boots he could be a very useful player. He looked potentially great in Denmark as a young player, I commented on this thread back when Adnan flagged him up. He started off well in France if recall and then the hype died down and he moved to Southampton without much fanfare and was in the doldrums there. He definitely has tools but needs to produce that kind of performance a lot more regularly before a club of our size would take a punt. It would be handy having a player who can beat his man on the left again, I think he's quite two footed too.

That look Yoro had like when jet fighters first appeared in the sky, and the fastest prop Mustangs saw them go by - ‘WTF?’

No for me,
If we want to move away from being a transition team.we should be looking for attackers who are technically gifted that and can pass and dribble in tight spaces.

we were linked with him before he joined rennes if i recall correctly?

would've been a good punt at a few million back then but signing him for another PL club wouldn't be worth it

Whilst he was good last night I do not want for a lot of the limitations listed above.

However I lament how far we've fallen that after literally every game we have a thread about one of the oppositions attackers where it basically says they're better than what we have.

Every. Single. Game.

Possibly but he's also an out and out winger which doesn't really suite Amorim's style. Unless he's converted into a LWB or a #9 somehow.

Aside that I'd say he'd be worth a punt in the Dan James mould. Players with that level of speed put fear into any opponent regardless the player's overall quality.

Players who are good at dribbling but shit at pretty much everything else drive me up the wall. Probably my biggest pet peeve both when watching and playing football.

Those 57 apps have come in 3 seasons which tells you the lad has had a terrible time with injuries and fitness. I think the injuries have reduced his ceiling but the potential is still there and form is not linear. We've had injury prone players suddenly hit peak form in their later years and never looked back. He's 23 in age terms but has the football development/experience at this moment of a 19-20 year old due to how little he's played past few years.

The way their system played against ours basically meant he got to be 1-on-1 with Yoro in acres of space for most of the first half. Give Garnacho that set-up and he'd have made hay too. Any half-decent winger with pace or dribbling or both would. It's no more a realistic reflection of his quality than it is Yoro's.

I believe Ajax missed signing him because of the deadline during last summer transferperiod. I dont think Manchester United should go for a player that Southampton was happy to loan out before this season just because that player had a good game.

Ajax also missed out on him when he went to Rennes. He is destined to never play for Ajax.
