Kaka to United?

Strange player, been useless for years and was fantastic at his best. You'd think his silky former skills would age pretty well. Has he never gotten over his last injury?

Yeah, I don't get what happened with Kaka. Quality player at his best. Overrated definitely in that you'd think he'd been tearing up defences and controlling game after game over the course of several seasons, but there's no doubting how dangerous and talented a player he was at his best. I used to love watching the directness of his game when he was on form.

Turkish Club Galatasaray are interested in signing Kaka from Real Madrid, coach Fatih Terim has confirmed.

Kaka was expected to leave Madrid this summer with a return to AC Milan being sighted as the best possibility. But the move didn’t happen and as Kaka confirmed later, Real didn’t receive any offer for him.

No it seems Turkish giants Galatasaray are interested in signing the Brazilian. Coach Fatih Terim, who has formerly been in charge of Fiorentina and AC Milan, has said that he would love to sign the playmaker, but has also highlighted the fact that Kaka would have to take a huge pay cut to ensure that this deal goes through.

“Kaka is a player that I will always have an interest in because he is a great player”, Terim said to Corriere dello Sport.

“Kaka would be a perfect player for Galatasaray and, indeed, I told my president just that. He believes the same and is looking at the signing.

“He has a major contract. The last word is his.”

There are concerns about Real Madrid’s asking price though. It is believed that Los Blancos wants something around €20m for the former world player of the year. That price tag reportedly chased away Milan’s interest, when Kaka was even prepared to take a pay cut to join his former club. Galatasaray would certainly not be prepared to pay anything close to Madrid’s asking price.

But Kaka will be desperate for a move. Although Jose Mourinho has said that Kaka will get his chances this season, but with someone like Luka Modric sitting on the bench, it looks highly unlikely. Galatasaray can be the perfect platform for Kaka to rejuvenate his career.
