Jurgen Klopp

I am seriously surprised as to why Arsenal and Liverpool are sticking to their managers when Klopp is ready to come. They will never get a chance to get a better league manager in to challenge for the PL.

Think it would be a bit absurd for Arsenal to sack Wenger after their second half of the season, but in Liverpools case... well I just don't know.

Wenger will never be fired, but he could move upstairs. Hell, it's not that long ago the Gooners were screaming for him to be fired. That time will likely as not come around again. It's Arsenal after all.

Yes, but it would still be a bit odd IMO. The team are in excellent form and they could carry that into next season. They've also started spending money on real top class players (Ozil and Sanchez)
Klopp is no ganrantuee to win anything, regardless of what the fans think Wenger is a very good manager.

Why do Arsenal need to change their manager? There is no guarantee Klopp will turn them into league contenders. It could do the other way around.

Arsenal would be foolish letting Wenger go.

We have seen Wenger giving false promises for challenging the league for last 2 seasons with a good team and we know he won't challenge next season too. Might as well take a punt on Klopp and see if he can do it with that squad. I am sure Klopp will finish higher than Wenger.

They haven't had a team/squad good enough to win the league for a while IMO, but they are getting there.

Getting there when the rest 3 are surely going to improve even more. Sorry but Arsenal won't win the league next season or as long as Wenger is there.

Does anyone really think that Liverpool can still attract the likes of Klopp or Ancelotti anymore?
They could get Klopp I guess. He'd treat it as a challenge like Dortmund. I don't want him there at all, he's a likeable character.

I actually expect them to improve next season tbh. Especially if the manage to sign Schneiderlin.
Many people like to turn their nose up at Wenger, without realising that Arsenal as a club, during the time they built and moved into their new stadium just were not investing in the team as they needed to to win the league. Given that any other club that has built a new stadium has been relagated, thats says a lot.
That time seems to be over Arsneal seem to be investing in the squad now, Wenger lost many top players and still manages to do well in the league, as opposed to Klopp whos team fell apart this season, after constantly being picked apart.

Now I'm not even saying Wenger is better than Klopp etc I'm saying there is nothing to suggest Klopp is any better.

I've been defending Wenger to my Arsenal-supporting colleagues for a number of years now. It's always "Get Pep!" or "Get Klopp!" I've often said be careful what you wish for.

I don't understand what is doing well in finishing 4th consecutively above a dire Pool and well Spurs. It should be the bare minimum finishing 4th for Arsenal when they are competing vs Pool and Spurs. Imagine if Utd wouldn't have been so bad last season, Arsenal would have finished 5th.

And now their wage is as much as Chelsea's. He has quite a big squad which just probably needs a CDM. Yet, how many Arsenal players can get into a Chelsea, City or Utd 11? Not many i guess.

Arsenal are not winning it in the near future with the other 3 teams improving and you know it.

I'm not worried about the prospect of Klopp managing Liverpool. Sure, he'd likely improve them but the move would be emblematic of the usual groundless Romanticism in which Liverpool specialise: same old 'cult of the manager'; same old rousing speeches from boss and fans alike; same old pass n' rush football with few trophies to show for it.

I like Jurgen and think he's very good but there's a deep, decades-long malaise at the club, an outdated hangover from the years of glory - a truly provinicial outlook - which even Klopp would do well to shift. In fact, in some senses, Brendan Rodgers is the quintessential modern-day Liverpool manager.

And that's their problem*.

In the context of building and moving into a new stadium it is actually a big achievement. Since every other team that has tried that has been relegated.

Even then, what makes you think Klopp would do a better job, still haven't given a single convincing arguement.

On your last comment, we don't know that tbh. They seem to have the spending and pulling power now to at least compete in the market, and they don't need as many improvements as us, so I would say they are in decent shape tbh. I wpuld even go on to say they have been probably the best team in the league since Feb.

How many Arsenal players can get into Utd 11? Are you serious? Plently.

Koch, Gibbs, Belerin, Ramsey, Sanchez, Carzola, I think you would be hard pushed to get that many United players into the current Arsenal 11.

He'd actually be pretty good at Madrid, with his predominantly counter attacking style, pressing and quick transitions. Read a report saying he might take a year off from management as well.

Pep, Ancelotti and Klopp all potentially being available in 2016

I suppose Rafa would do well there, once he gets his defensive tactics going, though for that very reason, he probably won't last too long. Madrid demand attacking football. Rafa is first and foremost, worried about not conceding. Might win them a few trophies as they have attacking talent in abundance, mind.

Building a new stadium after you win the league and then to consolidate 4th position with that squad wasn't that difficult for him. He barely had any competition for the 4th place in most of these years.

Also, we know Arsenal won't be strengthening much in the summer as only DM and maybe GK is a position where Arsenal is deficient in. You conviniently chose to leave out putting Arse players in City and Chelsea 11 . The Utd team is also going to change a lot for next season. I doubt you will want players like Gibbs,Cazorla, Bellerin in the Utd team to play next season wen you will buy better ones.

P.S. Herrera is a better mid than Cazorla/Ramsey are. And Ramsey is played as a winger at the moment where Mata/Depay are better.

No I just couldn't be asked tbh. Sanchez would obv get into any of the teams and I would take Ramsey in any of those teams too tbh (hes better than Oscar, Milner, Fernado, Fernandiho) Fab would play at 10 and Ramsey in with Matic.
Id take Koch over Cahill & Mangala or Demichelies.
Herrera is not better than Ramsey, when Ramsey moved to CM vs United @ OT he took over the game completely and he has reached a level last season that Herrera has never reached anywhere, hes Arsenals best CM.

What better players are United buying? We're not buying a new LB and Gibbs is better than Shaw (at the moment at least, hopefully Shaw goes on to be better)
If we sign Clyne, nah thats rubbish I would rather have Bellerin tbh, looks to have much more upside, and contributes a lot more in an attacking sense which is what you need when teams sit back against you at big clubs.
Yes I wouldn't take Carzola over a new signing somewhere else but tbh I don't think our CM signing will be a massive upgrade on Ramsey
Our CB signing looks to be Ottamendi and he is not exactly a massive upgrade on Koch (if at all)

EDIT: But the main point is you have said NOTHING to show Klopp would do any better.
Also NOTE Ramsey has started 6 games this season on the right and 22 in the middle I.E not a winger.

He'd be great for any english club really. So many attackers in english football are content with just prancing around doing nothing when they don't have the ball. Arsenal are the worst at it, its as if they expect the players at the back to do all the defending.

For one, Klopp has performed a lot better than Wenger in the last 10 years in the league and in the CL. We all know how arsenal have been in the CL all these years. And with this squad( one of the best Arsenal has since 2004 ) , I am sure Klopp will do better than Wenger in the league too. Klopp had a much inferior squad in Dortmund who he improved so much. He can certainly do better than Wenger.

Yes quite aptly leaving out that he failed to qualify for the UCL this season with a comparable team to Arsenals in an weaker league to boot.

-Klopp has had more success with a lot less financial means over the past couple of years. You praise Wenger for his 4th place trophies because he couldn't spend a lot, but Klopp won the league twice and got to the CL final with a lot less.
-The first half of this season was the biggest crisis in Klopp's time at Dortmund, missing a ton of key players, yet they won their group ahead of Arsenal.
-I believe that Klopp'S style fares well against English teams (better than against their German counterparts)
-Klopp actually has a good record against Mourinho

Just 1 season performance you have to defend Wenger over Klopp. Imagine how much the money difference between Bayern and Dortmund must be when he won the league and reach the CL final. When was the last time Wenger even made the CL semis? Besides, Arsenal are richer than Pool and Spurs whereas in Germany, I see teams like Wolfsburg and Schalke who are as rich as Dortmund.

UEFA 5 year coefficient would suggest otherwise, but not to get into a pissing contest about league strength again. How about this:

Klopp last seven years total transfer money spent: €176M
Wenger last seven years total transfer money spent: €350M

Even more impressive that Klopp only spent a total of €60M on the squad that reached the Champions League final.

The most interesting reaction would be @Blackwidow 's here on the Caf ;). I still hope that Pep extends or that we offer the job to Favre, but I wouldn't mind if Klopp took over next summer.

Klopp refused to adapt a slightly more possession based style during his last two years in Dortmund. I don´t see why we should trust him to build on our current team. We have to go after a manager who can capitalize on our experience as possession base team. There is no reason to question our general approach, despite our losses against Barca and Real. I hope that Pep extends his contract. Favre would be a brilliant alternative.

How would you guys rate him in the transfer market?

He's made some poor big money signings.

I think there is a director of football at Dortmund. Is Klopp in charge of the transfers, or is it the director of football?

It is indeed impressive what Klopp did that season, I don't think anyone is denying that.
Its funny though that Wenger was being bashed for not wanting to spend money a couple seasons ago and now you get something like this.
All clubs in the EPL spend a lot of money, Liverpool and Spurs probably spent comparable amounts to Arsenal and are not as good. The EPL is a different kettle of fish, you pay a premium to sign players here, especially English ones.

Would be open to to talks if dippers were to come calling.According to Bild.
