Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

The signs were there last season mate. I called it few months ago already. It has nothing to do with them dropping points tonight. You can still believe in the hype, I dont judge you Because 90% still do it too. But please dont call me hyperbole and such.
you can get back to me after the season.
He shouldn’t of called you a hyper bowl, too far.

Will do big boss. To clarify, I didn't call you hyperbole, the statements that Liverpool are on a downward trend are hyperbolic in nature.

Seem to follow klopp around. First, it was he can't win finals, then he can't win the league, then after vvd was injured, Liverpool were supposed to disintegrate. So yeah, if signs are there, I will be happy. But it's too early.

Cheers mate, and I agree its too early to tell. But we’ll see how it goes for Klopp and his superstars.

In fairness, Bruno is an annoying enough fecker and he plays for us! I can only imagine how much his constant diving, whining and exaggerating all contact must irritate oppo fans and managers.

Some classic shithousery today tbh...

He doesn’t accept losing a game, always moaning blaming others

A snob like his squad, zero humility

Thanks for fabinho on the bench

Their success has been built on doping. Every 2 or 3 years or whatever they have an off cycle and the wheels fall off, the following season they come roaring back with running stats that are barely believable and everyone talks about them being the best team in the World.

Same thing will happen again, guaranteed.

I don't doubt that what you're suggesting is possible but is there any evidence that it's probable?

I've thought for years that football is too big a sport for there to be no peds in play but I've never seen any evidence. When's the last time a player has been busted for steroids or blood doping?

This could just mean that testing is shite and easy to work around for the athletes and/or that the system is too corrupt. If that were the case almost no-one would get caught, and the ones that do would get swept under the rug.

We know there's obscene amounts of money in football and we know that the governing bodies are rife with corruption. I can't imagine it would be hard to pay the right person an (for a PL club) insignificant sum of money to ensure that their players are never tested when they're glowing.

I think you might be bang on the money.

The only thing that makes me question what you're saying is that players are caught for non performance enhancing drugs like cocaine.

If money is the driving force for why testing is sketchy and why players don't get busted, why wouldn't these kinda drugs be swept under the rug too?

Compared to the amount of coke that's probably done by Premier League players, the amount of busts must be negligible. And to add to that:

1) Players are idiots and will probably do coke at the stupidest times.
2) The team doctor won't be supervising when the players are hoovering schneef, so the dosages are much more likely to be detectable.

If I was an anti-doping agent hell-bent on busting someone for drugs I have quite a few players I feel like I could safely visit on a Sunday morning to fill my quota.

This is interesting and I’d say City have replaced most of their starting XI within the same period. I get that we have injuries but we’re still relying on players who aren’t at the required standard any more (Henderson, Milner, Firmino).

I do wonder if we’re standing still too much under Klopp. There’s only so long you can do that before other clubs start to actually get things right and improve around you.

Was Mane leaving inevitable or could Klopp/ the club have done more to get him to stay. They're paying a fortune for Nunez after all. I just think Mane was such a fantastic mix of physicality and skill which is extremely hard to replace. It's sort of like when I watch an in form Martial (I think he's technically more gifted but sadly doesn't have consistency / mentality ... yet?) and he's capable of both silly pieces of skill and giving the team some physicality.

. When's the last time a player has been busted for steroids or blood doping?

Juventus had that whole doping scandal, no?

I also remember reading about Pep being in tight with a doping doctor but that died down rather quickly I think

Called it before the season, this is their off-cycle, he doesn’t want to leave after a season of average performances, which is why he extended his contract so he can leave on a high (literally)
Also, I think it’s quite telling that Pep is making noises about doing one next year now all the other teams are finally getting their shit together.. they’re good teams and I’m sure City would still have picked up titles along the way anyway, but they’ve massively benefitted by so much transition in the league over the last decade

How? The league is more competitive now?

There’s more money floating around but the league is not competitive. City win the league every year because of squad depth. Their second 11 could make top 4. That’s why they win the league with so many points. No other Premier League club in history has had that luxury.

Write down their second XI and you'll see that's very questionable

They will easily finish above us and are the far better team overall, but how he can find anything to moan about yesterday's loss is beyond me. If anything they were lucky to not lose 3-1 or 4-1.

Yep, Elanga in the first half and Rashford second half were golden chances. For all their possession, they didn't really trouble De Gea all too much. I remember one great save vs Firmino (?)

Interestingly Jota has the largest number of game deciding goals since signing, more so than Mane.

Does it state what type of games? I have a vague recollection that Jota scores winners in Carabao cup ties, or dead rubber Champs League ties? Might be wrong of course.

Just last month Atalanta CB Jose Palomino tested positive for steroids. He played lot of matches for them over the last years.

Everything points towards football being rife with doping just like any other sport. The testing is just non existent, because it would only bring negative attention towards the sport and be bad for business.

Ultimately it's only about money. Players are on truly ridiculous and physically unsustainable schedules for both club and country, often playing 2 to 3 times a week while travelling around the whole globe for 10 months straight. Plenty of them simply need 'help' to recover or prevent them from getting exhausted and severely injured.

Show must go on, and there's more money in the sport than ever. Just like with FIFA and Uefa being proven corrupt institutes, no one really cares too much about the PED use as long as it's helping football to grow on a commercial level.

A good solution would be to literally cut the amount of matches for top level players in half, there would be way less need for doping. But that would mean losing out on too much money for everyone involved so it's not realistic.

Yea.. Thats the same mistake we did. For all klopps brilliance, he could only field nearly same players game after game. A few key injuries here and there they completely lose it as we have seen a few times. While city can field completely different team without significant drop in quality. Thats why despite all said and done, these oil clubs will be the end of us all.

Okay, I see your reasoning, but yeah, the teams in the league are much better now imo.

No alarm bells should be ringing just yet for Liverpool. Their next four games are Bournemouth (h), Newcastle (h), Everton (a) and Wolves (h). I know Newcastle have started well and Everton is a derby game, but realistically Liverpool could win all 4 of those games, and I assume they'll have players returning from injury throughout that time.

After those 4 games they then have Chelsea (a), Brighton (h), Arsenal (a), City (h). Tougher, but if they're back up to speed they'll fancy themselves to do well. Of course if they're not playing well then these four games will be when their season really hits the rocks, but I don't reckon that'll happen.

innit, we've only 20 senior first team players and one of those is Scott Carson, basically it would be something like 3 at the back and putting Mahrez in there is bloody harsh, but since he didn't feature against the mags I slung him in there

------------------------Ortega

----------Stones - Mbete-Tabu - Ake

Lewis ------------------------------------------ Gomez

------------------------Phillips

---------------Mahrez Palmer Grealish

------------------------Alvarez

Not quite nailed on for top 4, is it?

Nice to see no over reaction from Liverpool fans...

A single domestic title in 8 years is a less than impressive stat if we're being honest, especially compared to Pep's achievements at City.

Klopp's on borrowed time. There is only so long that he can hold back the inevitable tide that is Steven Gerrard, the next in line for the Liverpool hot seat, and we United fans should be supporting this movement. Liverpool is our sister club. We have their best interests at heart

To be fair. Darwin, Thiago, Konaté/Matip woud have played if they werent injured or suspended. Also a bit strange that Fabinho didnt start. Most matches there would be 6 changes from that team of six years ago.

Or maybe the Klopp magic and his style has just stopped working on this group of players. It did happen in Dortmund. Not everyone can be a Sir Alex Ferguson. Klopp still has enough time to fix it though, i wouldnt be worried for now.

I'll be happy if Gerrard goes there, can see a big fail.

Just hope they don't go for Potter
