Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

Pre-season friendlies are basically joint gym sessions. I honestly would take losing 30-0 if it meant we had an extra point in the league. Who wouldn't?

Aye mate they should have just go tanked 30 goals instead of winning and getting a good run out implementing new tactics.

The hammering and gym session defo would have helped further on to get one more point during the season.

So a loss is a loss to our rivals even if it’s preseason. United 4-LFC 0 so far this year. The good new is the “5 years without a trophy-further away than ever thread” can be closed in the United forum right?

That's so funny.
Try a job as a comedian.

We’ll win another league title before you do. The golden era is over, and what highs it had. One league title in 6 years, is it?

Hilarious la...........

Seriously, why are Liverpool men doing this whole United fans are cheering mad like they won the champs league, it's pathetic

It's a hypothetical choice. I'm not sure you know what that means.

Also don’t believe that the effects of being nearly men will not have a big effect.
This is the most important bit which evades most Pool fans ... how long can you keep fighting with nothing to show for it? While an FA cup was excellent, it was a huge climbdown from a possible quadruple. Look at what happened to Dortmund after their CL final loss and Pool after their 2nd place under Rodgers.

After the CL final, I felt Pool had as big a rebuild as United. Should've sold off Mane, Salah, Firminho, Oxlade, Milner, Keita plus a bunch of other squaddies and invested in a new front 3 and box-box midfielder. Would've revitalized them.

Even excluding the quadruple, this Liverpool team would have been one for the ages if they had won a CL trophy. Now despite their best ever team in the last 30 years, they still have only 1 League & 1 CL in the last 4 years of having a great team (nobody cares about domestic cups). A decade later when people look back to this era of the PL, it will be called City's era and not Pool's. In fact the only difference between Liverpool under Klopp and Leicester of the last 10 years is one CL title!!!

It was a great run out for our kids second half against your first team. Cheers.

I've just realized that we used 32 players for that friendly and Klopp still didn't give minutes to Ben Davies (who was on the bench). Easily the weirdest transfer we've done under Klopp.

Is he just our drugs mule?

I dont think they will make top 4 next season.

HALA MADRID!

Who cares what Juergen “I’ll quit football before I spend 100m on a player” Klopp has to say?

Did football only exist over ten years?

Interesting

Edit - It’s actually got us as many league titles as you. And an FA Cup, a League Cup and Europa League.
Since Fergie left you haven’t challenged for a title let alone won one. You can bring through all these decent youth players into the first team but ultimately smart signings and the right manager will get you challenging again. You won’t get anywhere close to City and Liverpool building a side around Scott McTominay and Markus Rashford imo (I do rate Rashford but I think his ceiling is limited).

If Klopp had relied upon Liverpool’s academy instead of making big money signings then we’d be nowhere, although Alexander-Arnold was a great find.

You didn’t win your last title mainly because of youth players either. It was because you went out and got RVP to get you over the line.

Even with your ten year caveat we’ve still won as many leagues as you have…

Anyway the point is I find it odd Klopp saying he sees the potential in Nunez. At €100m. I should hope he sees more than potential at that price. This should be a player ready to go and deliver. Not potential.

If you want potential look as our Youth Cup winning team from this year.

I don’t think that’s an unreasonable thing to say personally about a 22 year old. He’s hardly the finished article. The price is the price. It’s what the market is like nowadays. We didn’t pay €100 million though. Pretty sure it was about £67 million up front.

All the big outlets have it at £85m.

Absolutely phenomenal amount of money for potential really, I’m sure you’ll agree?

Tbf, it is around £63m base - €75m up front, €5m after 10 games, €10m after 60 games and another €10 in an "easy" clause.

Still though, £63m for "potential" is crazy considering what Klopp said about signing a €100m player.

I do find it funny that opponents regularly state our transfers with all bonus included (Martial at £57m, Amad at £37m etc while only Martial has hit one of those clauses) but they forget their players clauses - chances are his price will be at least €90m by December 2023, considering Liverpool player over 60 games last season (unless he's that shit and is benched for most games).

How far have those youth talents got you over the last decade?
Well only a few days ago our current crop beat your first team over 45mins. Our youth talent in the last 10 years has mostly consisted of dabbing, shit haircuts, shit dancing, social media, talking to the media, dickhead agents, off field controversy etc We will never see a class of 92 in football ever again, but I'm more excited by our current crop than I have been about those over the last decade.

You managed it with Henderson.

I think Liverpool will drop back a little this season. Losing Mane will be a big blow and with the World Cup . Players will be alot more tired and playing the way that they do and with alot of there players starting to push into there 30s i think they will drop off . Not by much but by about 8 points

One premier league title and over the last decade United have finished above Liverpool 5 times so during the worst of our recent decades we are level with this all time great Liverpool team premier league wise.

I think most of you are letting your Liverpool hatred blind you. Pool will easily finish top 4 and will challenge for the league again. They have lost Mane who was of course their joint best attacker along with Salah but Luis Diaz looks insanely good and could be a worthy replacement.

Not to mention they have probably the best attacker in the league in Salah then VDB, Trent, Allison, Robertson, Thiago, Jota, Firminio and they have more squad depth than last year etc. The squad oozes class. Even though it does still have the same weaknesses as before it's still a top 3 team. I'm more interested in how city do as they have more players to integrate into their first team which is usually a slow process due to pep's style/systems. Losing players like Sterling, Jesus etc and having a new number 9 who's not used to such a system, I think we might see a slower start to the season from city than pool for sure.

I managed to build a time machine and can exclusively reveal from his Wiki page, Nunez’s next few season stats:

22/23: Club: Liverpool, Appearances:47(10), Goals: 12
23/24: Club: Liverpool,
Appearances: 35(12), Goals: 8
24/25: Club: Liverpool, Appearances: 13(20), Goals: 6
25/26: Club: Seville (loan), Appearances 26(3), Goals: 0
26/27: Club: Liverpool, Appearances: 4(0) Goals, 0
27/28: Club: Fulham, Appearances: 20(10), Goals, 5
28/29: Club: Crewe Alexandra
(loan), Appearances: 15(1), Goals, 2
29/30: Club: Boreham Wood, Appearances: 3(3), Goals, 0
30/31: Club: O clube de futebol de cachorro e pato, Appearances: 7(2), Goals, 0
31/32: Retires to manage O clube de futebol de cachorro e pato

His paraphrased “I said 100m not 85m so isn’t a gotcha moment” in the interview was weird, guy is fecking weird sometimes

VDB was bad for us last season but not to the extent he can be counted as a Liverpool player...

Good luck in today's crunch game. Obviously, I always want you to lose but today I hope it's another comfortable scoreline for you lot.
