Jurgen Klopp Sack Watch

Incredible side but Madrid are just better. City are league murderers too.

But I can't call them unlucky, it's precisely because of City that Liverpool are so good.

And FA Cup. Are you deliberately leaving that out?
winning on penalties after getting outplayed just leaves a bad taste in the mouth imo

are you going to ever rewatch these finals? no cause you were shit in both

I came in here to lick my wounds. Thankfully Klopp signed that extension. Seems like you Utd fans will have to continue supporting the real big club of Manchester (City) and Ronaldo's favourite ever club (Real Madrid) until 2026 and not 2024.
Joking aside and putting SAFs virus comment to one side, a lot of United fans like Real Madrid or are ‘ok’ with them because of the history and their support post Munich.

Beating Liverpool was just a bonus for me :)

Delusion with you lot. One league in about 30 years and one European cup in 16 yet you all think you’re winning trophy after trophy.

United are shite, there’s not many who will deny it at the minute but things can quickly change. This is a ‘golden time’ for Liverpool and you’re bottling too many finals, as I said things can change and there’s no guarantee you’ll get these types of chances again anytime soon.

I've been asked that numerous times in my 20 years on Redcafe. It's old schtick.

I haven’t been around that long. I’m really curious as to the answer? I genuinely can’t comprehend it so if you can help, please do.

the champions league final he won was even by a fluke against the better manager. However, not to discred the amazing work he had done at liverpool. He just isn’t pushing liverpool over the line in competition that hold weight. I won’t be surprised if next season things unravel at Liverpool. I might have to lookback at this post to see if it comes true.
Mods, the Pochettino thread is leaking. Can we get that sorted?

I was so happy went he took Diaz out for Jota.
To be fair Diaz was shit.
He needed to take a man out of midfield and get a body further forward much earlier than he did. Madrid were playing so deep that they crowded out the attackers and only broke with 2/3 players anyway.

I think Liverpool got worse after the subs. Diaz wasnt having a good game but he has the quality to make something special Jota on the other hand....

Your tears are particularly salty this evening, Dumpster.

Very tasty

I mean this is coming after an era of 0 titles and 1 CL in about 25 years. He's doing well relative to where Liverpool have been before he arrived.

We're massively overhyped by the media and certain elements of our fan base though. The constant quadruple talk simply because we still had a chance to win everything was daft. We're a very good side but I think we've had glaring weaknesses defensively all season.
Rivalry and banter aside i don't think you were that far away; it's a very impressive squad. The lack of goals in three cup finals, two of which could have just as easily gone to Chelsea should be a concern and as I said in another thread, sometimes it seems that if you can hold strong after the inevitable early Liverpool onslaught good teams can have a chance at beating them.

Be interesting to see if Mane and Salah move along soon and who you replace them with.
