Jurgen definitely got Jose's numbers. Not much Jose can do against this man, always backs against the wall. Top notch from Jurgen today, sadly.
Don't think they were the better side, but we did play long balls in the last 20 mins. We did what was needed to get a goal and it worked.

Liverpool offered very little of any real danger going forward, whilst United had a number of opportunities that went to waste because of individual errors.
"Detestable prick" springs to mind when I think of Jurgen Klopp. Can't stand the guy or what he has achieved with an average bunch of Liverpool players. They are clearly playing above their station due to his management. Genuinely frightens me what he could achieve with a better set of players at his disposal.

FWIW, I thought Klopp got it right today. As poor as some of our players were, they were setup correctly and made it nigh on impossible to play through the middle. He also observed how effective Valencia is for us and up until the latter stages of the game, instructed his players to ensure the ball didn't reach him.

Your squad is poor. Your first XI, when all available and fully fit is pretty decent, but there are big drops in quality in many positions as soon as your first choice is out. Not sure what you've taken issue with there in all honesty.

Liverpool, for all their highly effective pressing, were no better than a midtable team from an offensive standpoint. Average as day footballers playing beyond themselves down to excellent management. No more than that.

I think Pool would have been deserved winners. They had more and better chances throughout the second half, apart from the equaliser their defense was solid. Would have been a very Mourinho-esque win on top.

Playing long ball at the end certainly helped, so it is a compliment to Jose and the team. We missed some sitters today and did not look worse than Pool. Would likely have won it, if Pog kept his eyes open and hands tight.

Playing the ball long is a perfectly wise tactic against a team that presses from the front. We should have done it sooner.

They played like a Mourinho team - get the goal, sit back and try to counter. Their gegenpressing nullified our midfield, and until we resorted to hoof ball, they were the better team. With Matip, Clyne, a fit Coutinho and Henderson, they might have even won the game, no doubt about it. Their gameplan execution was way better than ours.
That said, they were only good because we allowed them to stick to their game plan. If we had finished some of the chances we had, and if Pogba hadn't had a stinker of a game today, we could have been in driver's seat, with them having to resort to an uncomfortable Plan B. Mourinho was better in his tactical approach than Klopp, but the Liverpool players had a better game than the United counterparts who clearly underperformed under pressure.
