I think that this, in fact is part of the problem. Fans have/are not so much 'blaming' Veron for everything that goes wrong, but are really just concerned that he is 'not fitting in', united fans have the best interests of the club at heart, even when they talk in a negative manner about players its because they think they can see a problem and bring it up becuase;
a; they wonder if anyone else thinks the same thing, and,
b; if there is a problem they want to put a bit of pressure on so that it gets fixed.
Ultimately, i think there is a feeling of doubt/concern among many united fans with Veron, but its not yet at the point where he's getting booed at games and everyone wants him sold - everyone wants him to do well, even those that say he's not fitting in, and, most are prepared to give him quite a bit more time to prove himself, so i dont think veron can complain to much about any flack that has come his way because most of it has been fair comment.
Those defending him say 'forget the price tag'. Im sorry, but when you spend 27m on a player you simply cant forget the price tag, this is not monopoly money we are spending here, this is real cashola!. If you take the attitude of 'forget the price tag' on every player you buy you'l soon be up shit creek. Football is a business, and players are your assets, when a 27m asset is not doing the business you simply have to be concerned about it.</strong><hr></blockquote>
Some good points here.
