When has Mata ever been an important player, not likeable but important? He hasn’t. He could be injured, even in his early days it wouldn’t matter. The other four players have all been important members of the first 11 most of their time here. Mata’s been a nice guy. Played well today on his farewell to be fair. Goodbye to 9 years of nothing. They really havent.
Masterful performance. At least twice in midfield, he passed a ball straight from out of the air forward to a United player

I can’t believe you didn’t ever build a side around him.

It’s an absolute joke I agreeI can’t believe you didn’t ever build a side around him.
He played 98 games as AM and has massively better stats as RWClueless post
One of the best no.10s at chelsea, we sign him in his prime and play him on the wing! He w
Has the worst attributes for that position
We all owe him apology for wasting his career
98. Has better stats from RWIn Mata's 282 appearances for United, I wonder how many of them were actually in the #10?
Honestly, with the scale of rebuild we're looking at - a RW, backup striker, FB, CM, maybe even a CB - I really wouldn't be against the idea of him staying on for another year as backup. And this time play him against certain sides against whom you are expecting him to do wellWill be a great free signing for a mid table La Liga side.

In his career or for us?He played 98 games as AM and has massively better stats as RW

Well he would if he's played a lot more games at RW - how many did he play at LW? Less than RW, and a left footed player? Says it all.98. Has better stats from RW

He only played 30 odd games more but his stats are significantly better from RW. He’s just not been good enough in either position to be a regular.Well he would if he's played a lot more games at RW - how many did he play at LW? Less than RW, and a left footed player? Says it all.
no way he's played nearly 100 games as a 10For us
Look back on it. I have. Not doing the work for you.no way he's played nearly 100 games as a 10
@GifLord think one of those was around the 50th minute mark... Any chance of a gif?

Not because he's left footed, no, but not a physical player so able to get a cross in right off rather than needing to cut in. His right foot isn't bad thoughAre you suggesting we should have played Mata at left wing because he is left footed?
