Joshua Bohui

Wonder if he's just a filling the numbers signing or actually highly rated?

If he has signed, I wouldn't be surprised if it was Peacock that recommended him, seeing as he has been in the National youth teams and if anyone should know about good players in the system, it'll be him.

Nice little competition for places starting up at Under 18 level, will only be good for the lads. Looking forward to seeing what he's got this season.

Think we still need more, especially in the strikers position. He's apparently a winger rather a striker. We're mightily short up top for the u21's, especially if Keane and/or Wilson leave. But the lack of options up top in the u18s might open up spaces for Greenwood/Galbraith or Elanga, which would be good to see. Also, Moise Kean of Juve could be one to keep an eye, apparently he hasn't signed a pro deal and hasn't turned up for training. His agent is our new Italian/Dutch best friend.

Keane and Wilson should never play again for the U21 team.

But yeah we could really need another striker for the U21 team.....Mitchell is surely not the best option in that position and Doughty is just :wenger:.

Mitchell's more a winger for me, but has played central before. It's not even Doughty you should be concerned about, it's mctominay playing up top that worries me. He's not a striker, he can fill in when needed, as he did last season, but not over a whole season.

With Burkart coming in too I think the 18s will be fine up front now but I guess if Bohui is a winger then another striker for the 18s would probably be good, although Kayne Roberts is also still an option. As far as the Under 21s, it's just something they'll have to deal with for a little while, as you don't really sign players solely for that age group. I think there's one or two players still ahead of Greenwood and Elanga as well, they're still fairly young, although if they are that good then they could get a push but I don't see it quite yet.

I don't think Roberts will be at the club past this season, unless he has a pro deal. Even then it could get cancelled like Jimmy Dunne. He seems an after thought for the coaches, they shoehorn players in, rather than play him, which is mad. If we can find an 18 y/o or something to play for the u21's that wouldn't be a bad idea, as unlikely as that is. That's why I mentioned Galbraith, he's a yr older than them, although I'm not sure if he's made the move other here permanently. I'm also not sure what other options we have in the u16's, so the next up would be the u15's, if like you said, they're seen as ready.

Galbraith is a cm not a striker and hasn't actually signed yet although it seems likely he will. Probably more likely to see Boonen, Buffonge, Chong or Dearnley playing as a striker before Elanga or Greenwood since both are only 14 and neither are natural striker's either although both have played there. It seems we've decided to bring in a lot of pace to the u18s with Bohui, Burkart, Chong and O'Connor all extremely quick

He's a cm? All this time I thought he was a forward player. I'm surprised to hear he hasn't actually signed tho, is it a case of him coming over on holidays etc for now? That's a fair point, Dearnley, Boonen and Buffonge all played up top last season. The u18's should definitely be exciting to watch this season, hopefully they gel quickly. Looks that way from their Instagram posts anyway. Do you reckon we'll see many more incomings or is that it now (other than a keeper)?

Neither do I but I was just thinking purely about this coming season but yeah I agree you can tell that the staff don't rate Roberts very highly, he'll still get games though. There's one or two in the Under 16s that can play upfront so we might see them although like jb said they're more likely to play one of the wingers/attacking mids upfront.

Is the Elvis Azah deal done or still on the cards? Sounded/sounds like a promising player.

He has played up front but seems to have moved back into midfield and has been playing as a deep playmaker for Northern Ireland and actually won midfielder of the tournament in a tournament in Holland a few months ago. He was over for an extended spell last season and played for the u15s. I'd say we'll probably move him over to Manchester this summer.

I heard a while back that he was moving over but haven't heard anything since so I'm not sure what's going on with him. Last I heard he had signed for Waterford United in Ireland but I don't know if its a case of us waiting until next year to sign him or if its off

Ok cool thanks, hopefully the club can sort that one out eventually. Encouraging nonetheless to see that we're doing some heavy recruitment and scouting for the underage groups, wasn't expecting to hear much else transfer wise this summer but it seems that there's still a few potential deals in the works so it's exciting.

Another winger to a ready packed of winger options group.I think he'll be involved with the U21s soon though as a rated second year scholar.

The original tweet seems to have deleted. Any truth in these claims or just rumors?

They tweeted before he had actually signed but it's likely to be completed in the next few days

Wow, I'm glad this transfer saga is FINALLY over! We didn't quite make it to the 1,000 pages but hey.

We don't make big deals out of youngster signings for the reserves, probably to avoid the spotlight too early.

Fair enough, I suppose the kid made enough fuss himself, looks an interesting prospect, will keep an eye for him.
