Jose's Wish List...

We need more than what you think. We need Griezman or similar quality player along with RB, CB, DM, ST. A RW and a CM also wouldn't hurt and if we sell Shaw and DDG we will need to replace them to.
 
Jose might treat Griezman as the 'striker' signing I.e.provide much needed goals and go with Rashford and Ibra again next season. I think he'd want Mbappe but the fee and interest from other clubs make it unlikely. We will know more when there's news of Zlatan's future.

A player who is smart, makes good/correct decisions on and off the ball, works hard and consistently has good delivery is a player we need. Willian, if realistically is available, is that type of player. Winner, selfless and all accounts doesn't complain. Zaha, Navas, Lennon, Townsend and at times Martial all can beat player, but their final delivery and decision making is consistently underwhelming.

Moussa Dembelé (Spurs)
Van Dijk

Not quite sure why so many want Belotti. He has had one good season in Serie A where even Dzeko scored nearly 30 goals this season. Can't think of many Italians that have done well in the Premier League (Zola). They normally strop and go back to Italy after one or two years.

Listen, all that. But Willian is known for being unable to beat a player. We are full of playmakers that can play on the wing, what we need is someone to disrupt adversaries with his invention.

I see us signing a CB, CM/DM, Griezman and either a Winger or Striker. Can't make my mind up on the last one. If Ibra is out and Rooney goes that leaves us with us two strikers in Rashford/Martial.

Jose doesn't seem like Tony's biggest fan and if we have Rashford as our #1 striker I see us having the same problems as this season, not enough goals.

On the other hand we could do with a proper winger but I don't see us signing more than 4 players.
 
Should go for a top LB as a priority.

Someone go back and dig up tweets and articles about us being liked to players between Feb/March.
Those could well be on the wishlist.
 
Probably similar to last summer where a couple of players will cone in that we have been heavily linked with and then another couple that weren't really thought of

CF and LB should be our first priorities.

I'd prefer a big no.9, but i think Griezmann is already United bound. Bakayoko is a big lad who works his socks off, not perfect against Juve, but tore City a new one, could do with such a player here. Fabinho is going to City, IMO. Mahrez can beat a man and we need more pace on the wings. I wouldn't go for Keane, i think we need more experience in central defence, but it's not what i want, Mourinho is the one in charge.
 
Coutinho, Aguero, Gabriel Jesus, Hazard, Kane and Alli. Then puts them all on loan to the Russian league.

If Pereira isn't going to be a squad player when he comes back, we should sell him. Otherwise we are wasting his time. Tuanzebe can play as the DM and perhaps Fosu-Mensah (though I think he should be loaned out).

Oh, he is a great player, and I would be happy if we sign him. It's just the players I listed there have an X factor that puts them just above. Those players are almost impossible to get, in any case.

We really need a left back and a midfielder or 2 but we won't get all. It is really what Jose puts as important and that may be dictated by price and what is available. One thing for sure he is spot on saying he needs two more windows.
 
We keep being linked with Dier. I just can't see that leading anywhere with Levy in the picture, nor does Dier look that good.

Personally I think the DM spot will be the most important one (bar the Griezmann transfer). I have said it before, but I think Cambiasso was the most fundamental cog in Jose's Inter team, and I think we really need that type of destroyer/shielder if we are to get the most out of Pogba and the front four.

I'm hoping we get Fabinho, but City seem to be all over that.
 
So I'm guessing since Jose handed over this supposed wishlist to Woodward 2 months back, which was before the injuries to Zlatan and Rojo, there would've been a few more names further added to it?
 
I've never been this excited to know who Mourinho will sign this summer. I'm going with the following

  • Griezmann
  • Lindeloff
  • Naingollan
  • Silva (bernardo that is)

That's just not true. We must completely differ on our understanding of football because Willian is an attacking wide player who can take people on, is fast, scores goals and has a good work rate. A playmaker he is not.
