Jose Mourinho | Spurs manager

At every club he's been at since 2002, Mourinho has won trophies. Will he win one at Spurs?

I legit think he is finished at this level.

Can't believe this clown managed to hold us to a draw. Should really be in the top four now.

He's won as many premier league titles as Klopp and Pep combined. Respect, respect.

Ah man, I want Glaston back. Daddy want daddy want!

Did you judge him on this match or have you actually watched him every game this season like i have?

I just told you that this is not the only match that I judged him. And like I said before being great player for Spurs & other club could be different here. It's like how Spurs fans used to Eriksen & De Bruyne. In reality De Bruyne is world class, while Eriksen isn't. In your view Lo Celso has potential to be world class but your definition of world class could be different standard with ours.

The team has been this bad since before he came in. Its the players that are the main problem. Major gutting required.
Trust every single person who is telling you that it is not. Your team might be a bit shite, but Jose’s just as bad.

Giving him money to waste won’t solve anything. We know.

I said potential. I also never thought Eriksen was world class.

Yeah, once you get Willian and Perisic everything will be fine.

I sincerely hope Jose is a success at Spurs so i can rub it all in your faces.

I remember when we said that to Chelsea fans, convincing ourselves how he always had United in his heart and was the true SAF successor.

It seems like bias and hatred when someone criticizes Jose repeatedly when all you want to do is give him a chance and feel the negativity is unwarranted. But over time you'll wonder how you never saw it in the first place, despite all the evidence thrown in your face.

He is done as a top manager and things will get really toxic in a year or two at max, no matter how much you spend for him, no matter what you win.

I almost want Spurs to be good again just to see if he comes out of his hole

Hindsight 20/20 and all but start Pogba and we’d have probably done em in.

Solid sixth in the league since Mourinho was appointed this season (31 points in 20 games)

In comparison, we were third in form from Ole's appointment last season until the end of the season (40 points in 21 games)

The crazy thing is Southampton's form - fifth in the table since Mourinho was appointed at Spurs!
What's more damning is the goals conceded stat. Only 5 teams in the league have a worse defensive record - Bournmouth, Norwich, Villa, West Ham and Everton

The timing was horrible. I’m convinced that if we’d have played them before the lockdown we’d have done them in proper. The first game back was almost like a warmup, and despite that we were still the better team and they scored from a defensive howler.

As for Jose, he can’t rebuild this team. He won’t get the funds to do so, it’s only a matter of time before the Mourinho charade is in full effect. Let’s all enjoy it.

I firmly believe given both sides form pre the COVID-19 pause, we would have beaten them. Just a bit frustrsting we didn't play particularly well against them as they are awful and were there for the taking.

I really believed in Mourinho. However, I have to admit it looks like he's a man out of time. Whatever he is doing the Spurs squad just isn't responding to it.

it’s not as if every Chelsea and Man Utd fan could have told you he would be a disaster.

he always says the right things for the first few months.

Jose still has ‘some’ qualities, but bloody hell you don’t want to trust him with a rebuild. It’s going to be a disaster.

Aye, totally agree it was the fact that it was the first match back and both teams more played like they didn't want to lose and to just get over the line.

Yup, he's a disaster these days he really is. I can't see anything good coming from this Spurs stint.

Disagree. I said yesterday after the Chelsea game that on paper, Spurs have a better team than Chelsea. The top four clubs on paper for me would be Liverpool, City, Us and Spurs. Chelsea are rectifying this by buying Timo and the winger from Ajax whose name i cannot spell. They look like they are getting Havertz as well. So they will be closer next year no doubt.

Mourinho is going to stagnate Spurs like he did to us.

Him and Bruno are still different players. He likes to dribble more and is better at playmaking from deep and possession, while Bruno is a better goalscorer and shooter. Lo Celso has massive potential, he was injured at the start of the season and had a slow introduction, but make no mistake, he is a great talent.

Yeah, I do think he's very talented but Jose probably isn't a manager that he will thrive under.

The new stadium and the CL final got Spurs way to big for their boots.

They go on to sack their best manager ever cause he had a poor start to the season thinking they are an elite team after a bit of overacheivement. They were such idiots to get rid of Poch for Jose no matter how bad a season they were having they should have gave him a chance to fix it.

Another totally clueless appointment from Levy.

That's the 7th useless manager he has hired.

Only Harry Redknapp and Poch have been anyway good.

Martin Jol got them 5th twice I think while playing decent football with a young team. I remember liking them around then

No Eriksen, no party. He pulled them out of the fire so many times.

imagine they’d signed Bruno instead of us. What a signing he’d have been for them. We dithered so much they nearly had a clear run at him.

Its fine I can take it
Ferguson was a different species.

You’ll be hard pressed to find many other managers with such longevity of success.

Wenger, Clough, etc have done great things but not over a long period.

Mourinho is that category. I just don’t think he’s stayed relevant. I like him more than most United fans. I wouldn’t have sacked him when we did even. But at a point you have to call a spade a spade. He’s not a top level manager any more and he probably knows it himself deep down.

Which spurs players besides Kane and Son get into the Chelsea 11?

Thefightingcock reads like the caf 20 months ago. They are complaining about his attitude, his defeatism, the lack of defensive structure or proactivity or the weird lineups with favorites starting for no good reasons. Some blame the board and the players too.

They did in the summer. Bruno said Spurs were interested in summer, then in January Spurs were interested again but we came into the picture. Levy preferred to bring in Lo Celso on loan instead of paying the money for Bruno.

I never really say you are. I said Spurs fans always overrated their players, player's potential and they have different standard of rating their players. And you are Spurs fans. Eriksen is one of the many example and also including how some Spurs fans think Winks has the same potential to be as good as Carrick.

thank god! Bruno would have been an actual upgrade on Eriksen and feck knows how we’d be doing right now
