I think the other thread is too large now and not updated

Looks like we'll be crossing paths again with him and Fred

The Amrabat - Fred pivot is the stuff of dreams we never knew we needed.
Quite a feisty little midfield Jose is building over there, good luck to him.

I guess the ‘good’ form Roma showed under De Rossi was just the bounce?

Jose, never liked him before he was United manager and he can be a massive bell end, but he’s a far better manager than people realise. Tactically he’s probably the best in the world when up against anybody with a comparable quality squad, particularly in one off games.

He is really unlikable so is attacked and scrutinised in the same way puff pieces protect Pep from any meaningful criticism.

There's 7 points between 18th and 1st, roma are only 3 points off where they finished last season.

To try and take anything away from that is pure confirmation bias and sensationalist. I don't even like mourinho but he's always going to have a better chance winning the league with fenerbache in turkey than Roma in Italy, so what are we even doing here.

I wonder if we’d have finished as low as 8th if he had the backing and support ETH has been given

Definitely not but then Mourinho always makes things much more toxic.

He had Chelsea in a relegation battle the last time around before they sacked him, which was right after they won the league.

Anything is possible with that gowl, I think Bobby Charlton was right all along, he should never have been let anywhere near Utd.

Of course it's sensationalist, it's twitter/the media!

Fenerbahce got 99 points last season, hardly surprising they're top 5 games in, epsecially when they've played a game more than Galatsaray who sit in 2nd and will overtake them if they win tomorrow night.

He's got a job on to win the title, it's like when City were going up against Liverpool with those insane points totals, or perhaps Mourinho Madrid v Guardiola Barcelona would be an even better example.A player of Osimhen's profile going to Turkey, and to a team who racked up 102 points last season is mental. Going to be so hard to stop. I see it's Fenerbahce v Galatasaray at the weekend, so early in but alreaady potentially impactful for the title race.

Roma been a bit wank, but they were financially hamstrung when Mourinho was there, I don't know if that's still the case? Not been following their story.

They seemed to have twice as many shots as Galatasaray but didn't see the match. That's probably the league gone already going by last season

Why was he made to wait 75 minutes for the post match presser?

Just watching his interview where he’s livid about it.

Naturally, the fourth referee alerted the referee and he got booked for it.

Got hobbled by one of his onw players. Banished to the reserves for the rest of his contract?

Anyone find that embarrassing?

I'm a big fan of Mourinho but I (sadly) find it a bit pitiful to see him managing a club in the Turkish league and acting that way in his 60s.

He’s having fun, who cares is people who are venting abuse at him get further wound up by him celebrating in front of them.

Do I find passion for his sport and his career “embarrassing”? Nope.
Give me this over the fecking robots we tend to see all too much these days.

Also, he’s in Turkey because United sacked him and then didn’t get any better, then Spurs sacked him and it was the same story; Roma… they are currently in 11th.

The problem with Mourinho is that expectations are suddenly raised when he’s hired, a victim of his own success if you will.

As toxic as he is, I can't help but like Jose.

One of the few remaining characters in football.

One of his best rants in the press conference after. Destroys the Turkish league.

Good thing the Turkish don’t tend to be defensive at all and will take the criticism constructively :)

He's a bit like Ronaldo. Thinks he's better than the league he is competing in without realising that he's found his current level.
Regardless, he is of course much more likeable.

Just looking at more details, Trabzospor got this penalty on VAR

Fenerbahce denied one for this handball shout:

This is probably the only team he’s trying to play more attacking football.

The problem is Mourinho doesnt have a fecking clue how to play attacking football:lol:

Not at all, they are just about in the title race (had they lost that maybe it would be too much) and his big thing is to create the 'f you' environment of how everyone is against them to unite the team. Gala are likely to strong to reel in but if anyone can do it it's him with Pastor Fred and Imhotep in the engine room.

They are not in the title race. But he shouldn’t just give up after 10 games, of course, so I take your point.
