So there has been speculation over the past few weeks, that Joe Hart could be our replacement for David De Gea, should he leave. (Linked with him by Duncan Castles today)

Personally, I trust Jose with our team, if he thinks Joe Hart is good enough for us, then I'll give the head and shoulders wanker a chance.

He does have a clanger in him, but he's also an outstanding shot stopper in my opinion. Hart has a lot of experience in the Premier League so that's got to count for something. The fact that he'll be joining Jose after he was surplus to requirement with Pep at City might be a thing as well, although, of course, I'm probably just talking shite, again.

Anyway, what do you guys think? Would you rather Romero had a crack of the whip? Or should we sign a decent replacement - i.e. Handanovic? Also bare in mind, your Oblak's etc may just not be obtainable, so maybe that's why we interested in Hart?

Also if mods could maybe add a poll..

It's going to be quite traumatising to see this bumped all summer.

Definitely no. I have been mocking his mistakes for years so I won't be happy to see him with our shirt ! I'll prefer Romero over him anytime.

I cling to the hope that it's just mischief making.

If Hart ends up as our number one at United I'll gladly walk naked to OT on matchday with my appendage covered by a bottle of Head And shoulders shampoo (large bottle of course.....)

I'd rather give Fellaini a contract extension than sign Head and Shoulders Hart.

My mate and I have a competition going which is basically a race to text 'Uncharacteristic error by Joe Hart' ever time he drops a clanger.

It has only been going for a few years and we are well over 30 instances.

He's just a terrible keeper, I'd rather Romero be our number 1, way more consistent.

Would be an odd signing, not been great at Torino and his career seems to be on a downward spiral. It could well end up being someone like Hart or Schmeichel who comes in if DDG does go as can see Jose wanting someone with Premier League experience and the options aren't great.

We can't give the number one position to Romero, he has been proven to be very ordinary elsewhere and most of his career has been as a backup, if DDG does go I wouldn't be surprised to see us go through few options like we did after Schmeichel before we find right one.

I would rather want Kasper Schmeichel than Joe Hart!

Rather ask Sheasy if he fancies a go for a couple of seasons.

Can't take this seriously. I mean, he can't come in and start ahead of Romero can he? I wouldn't even want him as second choice goalie. Maybe 3rd choice if he came on a free.

He's one of the most flawed goalkeepers in the Premier League. His inability to save shots low and left is genuinely staggering given the level he operates at. His kicking is duff, which you can accept. His handing can let him down, which again, happens from time to time happen. But not being able to save the majority of shots hit low to one side? That's a huge, huge problem, and it's cost both City and England on several occasions.

Thankfully, I think the rumour is madness.

It wouldn't be Taibi-style awful but it's not the move a team looking to get back on top would make. Though he'd have a Massive point to prove in coming back to England he doesn't have the ability to be a consistent top class number one in my opinion.

I can't think of any reason to sign Hart unless Jose is worried about the lack of English players in the team, given that most of Jones/Smalling/Rooney/Shaw/Carrick/Young will be gone within a year or so. Even still, I'd rather stick with Romero.

Let him do it at Liverpool or Everton.

He wont be coming to United.

Even if he did he wont start ahead of Romero.

There's is talk of Romero moving on to one of Milan teams. Although I'm not sure why he'd go there to be number two again.

Why do you think that? At Chelsea he signed Cech and brought Courtois back from loan, neither had Premier League experience beforehand.

I can't think of many players I'd want at our club less.

Even if he was a good goalkeeper (he isn't), the fact he's a irredeemable bellend would mean I would never want him in the squad.

He didn't sign Cech or Courtois mate. With Courtois it was obvious he would suit Premier League.

Oh yeah I always forget the deal was done under Ranieri. The point still stands though, he made both first choice without Premier League experience.

I don't even think Jose ever signed a goalkeeper.

Signed Begovic. Not sure he's ever signed a first choice keeper though which is kind of crazy.

Still he has inherited two 'keepers with no Premier League experience and made them first choice though which was my initial point.

Some players are hated because they play for terrible clubs; some clubs are hated because they have Joe Hart playing for them.

Anyone else please.

Aye I know. I'm not even sure myself if he's looking for pl experience or not. Im pretty sure he will want a commanding goalkeeper who's good at sorting a defence out and is a big presence in around the 6 yard line. He had Cech, Cesar, Courtois and Viktor Baia who were good at that so I could see why he would want Hart or Kasper Schmeichel for that reason.
