Joao Felix / on loan to Chelsea

You're aware we were linked with around 400 players by July?

We picked Antony over Gakpo when he was attainable.

The Felix deal is terrible and there's no chance of a permanent move at the end.

Nunez is not worth the money and never was and I'm not sure we were seriously in for him, not at that price anyway. If we were in for Nunez we dodged a bullet so the criticism is a little strange.

We was definitely in for Nunez but the fee was too much. He was also ETH’s number 1 attacking target. We didn’t get him so what..I didn’t want him anyway as he reminded me of Lukaku. But with that all said I’m not going to lie and say it wasn't a player the manager really wanted.

That’s the difference I’m pointing out.

I mean we have the best midfielder in the world (in my opinion) and that was by chance. Such is life.

Thats just nonsense. Just because Darwin Nunes is more likely than Marcos Leonard doesnt make the Nunes story true. They could be both bullsht. Plus there are several nuances to every deal. Define interested? United probably consider 50 plus strikers. Maybe they even said to the agent 'Hey keep us up to date on Nunes.' Doesnt mean we were 100 percent in love with him and wanted him. He was just an option.

I can write United interested in Kane, Moukoko, Bellingham, Enzo and De Jong. Its probably all true to a degree. They would have all of them on their list, talk about them. scout them, tell the agents to keep them updated. Then magically they go somewhere else and I can write - United wanted him but they failed! True? Well sort of. They kind of considered him.

Bro I’m not going back and forth with you on Nunez being true or not. It clearly was we lost the race like Liverpool lost the Tchouameni race. Grow up, move on.

Apparently Simeone wants Goncalo Ramos

Well then, we should just go ahead and sign Goncalo Ramos. Feck Atletico and their scummy board.
Sorry about the old quotes guys. Just wanted to comment that there are rumours in Norway about Rosenborg forward Casper Tengstedt being on the verge of signing for Benfica in a £10-12mill deal. That along with Joao Felix apparently going to Chelsea might indicate Ramos to AM is in the mix aswell…

How do you know we're were in for Nunez?

Did ETH ever publically say he wanted him - I don't actually know so I might be barking up the wrong tree here but most of what the media say is complete BS

Well do me a favour instead show me the evidence of reports saying we was never in for him and it was all media BS.

Yeah. I can't see any upside to this deal for Chelsea. Whichever way one looks at it, Chelsea gain nothing from this. Would make sense if Chelsea were in a chance for top 4, so his addition would boost the squad and help push for it but Chelsea are 10 points behind fourth which in itself isn't unsurmountable but the bigger issue is that there are 6 teams ahead that they'll need to overtake which makes the task almost impossible.

This is just burning 17 millions for nothing. Only beneficiaries in all this are Felix and Atletico.

I think the Pulisic and Sterling injuries (plus Broja already being out for the season and Potter finally realising Auba is utterly useless) is what triggered this panic move. Without those 4 players, it's literally just Havertz, Ziyech, the new kid Fofana and I guess Mount if you push him out of position. I understand the thinking behind wanting to bring a forward in but the numbers involved is just stupid. But I guess I get to watch Felix in a Chelsea shirt, which will be interesting and kinda fun, if I ignore everything else.

I said I didn't know if we were or not, you're the one making a statement of fact, not me

Well if you don’t know go find out and comeback.

If you don’t trust what I say do your research and prove me wrong. Win win for both of us.

Well if you can't be arsed to back up what you say then I can't be arsed to go and find out!

Do you maybe know will he available/registered for Fulham game this Thursday?

He's supposedly having his medical tonight, so maybe will be announced tomorrow? It's possible that he makes the team but I highly doubt it if I'm honest.

What i would love is to see who liked your posts, seriously what the feck are you on about. All i said is he was a good player who would help the team, which wasn't even the point anyway, imagine ridiculing some imaginary extreme you pulled out your arse while employing your own equally ludicrous language, indeed what could Joao Felix possibly contribute to an attack that is desperate enough for Memphis depay and a Burnley player, an attack that other than an inconsistent 18 year old is relying solely on 1 player to put the ball in the net...

You seem to be really agitated, mate. Take a deep breath and calm down.

Aye, even if he somehow did, doubt that he would play more than 15-20 minutes as a sub. Probably best to introduce him in a bit easier game against CP at home.

You called me out and didnt click or type in here wanting to pick out articles on links to Darwin Nunez. I’m sure there’s a thread about him from the summer. Go look in there as I won’t be.

Didn't Mitten et al say that its spurious actually how interested united were in him? Im sure a few journos have said something similar. Not that it matters as he's pony.

Why are you making stuff up?

Why Chelsea sign him? They're even more bloated at the #10 than us. They simply need a fecking striker.

Oooooh something is brewing. Unfortunately doesnt have anything to do with us. We don’t have the cash to go for Ramos.

Who are all these "10" Chelsea have who are fit and performing?

This is an expensive short term fix for sure but you can't say we don't need fixing in this position.
Imo the reason they haven't been performing is largely because you don't have any good striker. I don't think Felix would somehow magically turn Auba into something decent.

Fair enough. Are you sure about the bolded part? I hadn't heard that at all.

I very much disagree. Strikers can't score if no chances are created. It's not as though he or Havertz are missing a ton of chances. Stick Haaland upfront for us over the past few months and he'd be struggling.

Don't get me wrong, Auba has been cack but no worse than anyone else of our attacking midfielders/strikers/forwards for a long time now.

Chelsea is not a particularly great move for him (it's not a great move for anyone), but he is a fantastic player and I'm happy that he'll be able to show his ability in a less negative team and under a less negative manager.

Fair enough then. Tbh I don't watch Chelsea much so I'd trust your opinion. We'll see anyway.

Those words fantastic player sting a bit I won't lie

Well he'll be available again in the summer, you can use your CL football (plus new owner riches) to seduce him which we can't and there's chance Atletico Madrid can't either.

No guarantee we get new owners because those leeches could easily screw us over as they have happily done for the last 18 years.

Also think it's totally shite that Erik has no money for Gakpo/Felix loan due to grossly overpaying for Antony because didn't get the deal done earlier.

Good move for Chelsea. We could have used him as a false 9 for sure.
With how often Bruno gives away the ball I would have loved to see Felix played instead for different games.

The rumours of simeone going at the end of the season may point to why they aren't offering the option to buy.

May be moving him out of the way until a manager is in place, who they hope will get more out of him.

Maybe this no option to buy in the summer is actually the real reason Arsenal and us both walked away rather than €11m loan fee
