Joao Felix / on loan to Chelsea

Now this one is over I wonder if we need to look at some loan cover for Bruno/Eriksen

11m for 4 month loan is insane. Chelsea are absolutely bonkers right now.

Bollocks did he like the Chelsea project more than United or Arsenal. One is top of the league playing great football with a young manager and team and the other has a new exciting manager and is historically the biggest club in England and on the road to recovery.

Chelsea just offered more to AM/the player.

Atletico must not believe their luck. Similar to any other club that has seen Boehly come calling to be fair. Mendes will no doubt have Boehly on strings too.

Must be with a view to a permanent transfer, otherwise why would the Chelsea project be appealing for this next few months just?

I think by the project being more appealing he really means that Chelsea were willing to pay the ridiculous demands, while others weren't.

A permanent transfer would be mad - Havertz, Nkunku and Felix who all basically play best in the same position.

Yeah. If Chelsea needed any player it was definitely Joao Felix. This will solve all Chelsea's problems. Well done Todd Boehly.

Not that what I think means anything at all because I'm just a moron who got covid in October and shat himself on the sofa

But even if they get Weghorst (which I'd say is 50/50 as of typing) I think they might still try to get Memphis on loan and change shape a little when Bruno isn't playing to more of a 4-4-2

Yeah. You'd surely have to think there's some sort of handshake agreement (at least) that he'll join permanently if they get into the top 4. But if it ends up £11m just for a few months, they don't get into Europe anyway and he joins another club in the Summer, it's going to seem weird.

Also why do Chelsea always sign Atletico players

I wonder what the excuse will be when he fails at Chelsea as well. I maintain that Felix is vastly overrated. Good player but nowhere near his current market value and what Atlético paid for him.

He only had a choice of Arsenal and United offered the same money to Atletico, weird phrasing from Ornstein.

It says in the article he prefers Chelsea's 'project'...I mean it's a real Frankenstein's monster of a project!

Don’t want to be too cynical but I think it makes sense that Jorge Mendez facilitates something for Chelsea given the money that they are seeming to want to throw at the ‘project’. This would have been the decisive factor behind the deal imo.

What an awful fit.
 Chelsea will genuinely have like 5 high profile attackers who aren’t quite no.10s, aren’t quite no.9s, and aren’t quite conventional wingers

I think he'll get more minutes at Chelsea as a striker solution. He will probably view himself as a striker just needing a chance.

I'm getting Saul Niguez vibes with this one not gonna lie. Good luck to Felix but cant see it working for him at Chelsea.

Felix is a bit of a dumbass going to Chelsea but he's proven he makes dumb decisions, so nothing new here.

I'd have stayed at Atleti if I was him. Watch him score against us now...

He isn't your typical winger ans he isn't your typical striker either ? I mean , I play FM better than him.

Havertz, Mount, Nkuku, Ziyech- so happy that his happened. Was worried that they might get an actual striker in.

So Chelsea are replacing Havertz with a player who is exactly like Havertz, and it is costing them £11m (excluding wages) for four months. Interesting strategy.

Just what is the plan at chelsea? Todd treating the league like some football manager game ffs.

Players really are so thick at times. Two awful moves in a row from him. Deserves to flop.
