No no of course not. Those were definitely 'separate deals'.

They were separate deals. They were just connected in a really stupid way. Chelsea really wanted that pure profit money for Gallagher, and Atleti could only afford it if a separate deal for one of their players took place. So for Chelsea pure profit coming in, and then Felix (it was Samu first, so Felix was just a last minute emergency choice, which makes the whole even more stupid) could be ammortised over 5 years made sense. It wasn't a swap deal, but the deals were connected in that one could not happen without the other.

There were so many spells of games where he finally seemed loose at Atleti that it really seemed to be Simeone's fault that he couldn't perform. Especially with both him and Lemar (fit and) in shape, the whole team looked like a dominating force - and that as a Simeone-coached team. But now it will be more of a surprise if he manages to come close to such a form alone, let alone extend one to be more than 5-10 games a season.

Some players could be such a joy to watch that it hurts that they're really stuck at could... and only end up adding " 've "

I was definitely guilty of falling for those flashes and moments of brilliance, and I definitely called Simeone a football terrorist once or twice for holding Felix back.

Obviously technically they're seperate deals but it's basically laundering your accounts. Signing a player you don't even want. Still find that baffling even though I see the reason.

"The money was just resting in my account"

I've been warning about Felix since he signed for Atletico. Benfica and portuguese media really played a trick with this one. I remember writing that in my opinion he was worth 50 million max at that time. Even that sum feels inflated now. I predict he will be back at Benfica in about 2 years.

Tell me about it man. The stench of FFP shenanigans was all over these deals. And now we have to loan him out and hope he has a brief enough ascendency so we can fool another stupid club to buy him.

Chelsea will want to recoup the money we spent on him, so my guess is if the Milan loan doesn't yield a permanent transfer in the summer, we'll just loan him out again and again until we've gathered enough loan fees to cut our losses with him and send him packing for a modest fee.

I can see Chelsea selling to a Saudi club. Felix is very materialistic and money oriented. I can see a Saudi move enticing him if he also fails in another big European club. He's running out of those and also excuses. Simeone isn't everywhere.

Very clinical knocking us out with that header though, of course. Fecker turns into RVP with a cape for a few seconds against United.

Jorge Mendes really has so much power in the industry it's kind of scary

He will score 4 goals and have 2 assists and people will still dream of signing him

I think 6 G/A is more than what Højlund and Zirkzee will get combined before the end of the season

Never got the hype round this guy and he's never lived up to his potential.

Already have more clubs on his CV than Ibiza.
