Sky Sports are saying Fulham value him at £80m. He's a good player, but that's ridiculous.
Compromise will be found - £60-65m+ add-ons.Sky Sports are saying Fulham value him at £80m. He's a good player, but that's ridiculous.
Don't want to be the stats guy but how are mctominay passing stats slightly better than his.
Exactly what Bayern need.
Mazraoui - Kim - de Ligt - Davies
Palhinha - Kimmich
Sané - Musiala - Coman
Kane
Yeah, those stats are somewhat alarming, but every Fulham midfielder apart from Tom Cairney seems to average 30-40 passes per game.Don't want to be the stats guy but how are mctominay passing stats slightly better than his.
As others have said: Sané is very frustrating but his good actions outweigh the terrible decisions. Gnabry always has stretches that are very good, or very underwhelming. But both can play both wings, as well as Coman and all three will rotate. Coman is the best winger and also Musiala can provide the Ribery-lite on the left wing to let Müller play in the middle next to/behind Kane.Yeah, I can't imagine him being a failure anywhere really, he just seems to naturally do what he is good at. Out of interest, what do you think about your wide forward/wing options these days? I'm surprised to see Sane in your lineup, I thought he entered flop territory a few years ago. What happened to the likes of Gnabry? At first glance I always look at Bayern and feel you're lacking in attack these days - it's certainly a far cry from the Robben and Ribery era.
He's a pure destroyer, he's there to make them more compact in the CL and fits a manager like Tuchel.

Sané is a quite frustrating player. On his day his speed, dribbling and left foot can cause any defense problems, but a very good game is often followed by 5 bad ones.Yeah, I can't imagine him being a failure anywhere really, he just seems to naturally do what he is good at. Could we not have swapped Mctominay for Palhinha + the Amrabat cash?
May have been a better deal. I think Palhinha is a better player than Amrabat.
I think it's said every year but how many of those so called "swap deals" happen any given season ? I feel it's between 0-1. PSG tried it with RKM and Ekitike, and they didn't bite despite liking the player.
I think the reality is that they're always bad deals on paper with the player thrown in as a consolation prize being just that. A player you never know what you're getting really while cash doesn't lie (and is liquid).
I don't think 30m£~ + McTominay is meeting the valuation Fulham expect.

Bayern has Kimmich who is definitely a nailed starter and just bought Laimer, now they want to sign Palhinha. Surely if they're about to pay 60M+ they're not thinking of him as a squad player.
I know they just sold Gravenberch but what's the deal with Goretzka? he seems a much more superior player than Laimer and Palhinha.

Goretzka is a bad fit for Tuchel and likely to be phased out.Bayern has Kimmich who is definitely a nailed starter and just bought Laimer, now they want to sign Palhinha. Surely if they're about to pay 60M+ they're not thinking of him as a squad player.

Further they have Musiala and Muller. Also Kimmich is top class as CDM I think it would be a mistake to move him from his position.I think they really want Kimmich to play slightly further forward.
Laimer is one I am curious about as every time I have seen him (which admittedly is only a handful) he has been very good.
For a team that's poor on the ball it's weird to see the obsession with a player who is poor on it.
Palhinha poor in the ball?
Transfer window is closed in Germany now. The deal is off according to Sky Germany.
We all criticize the players for forcing the exit, but what Fulham did to Palhinha is wrong. They basically allow him to go to Germany, do the medical exams, told him the deal was done. He even made the photoshoot with the Bayern shirt
Let's see how will this guy be mentally after this rollercoaster of emotions.

We let Pavard and Gravenberch leave but failed to replace either player.
Looks pretty unprofessional to me.
See you in the CL. Hopefully during a congested fixture periodWe let Pavard and Gravenberch leave but failed to replace either player.

Not sure if it is all on Fulham. He travelled in preparation for a transfer if a deal could be struck, it was always contingent on both sides reaching a compromise over the fee and if they could not do that I would say it is as much on Bayern as it is on Fulham.
The fee has been agreed hit Fulham couldn't secure a replacement before the German transfer window closed.
Looks so very unprofessional
Tuchel won the champions league with kante, Jorginho and Kovacic as part of his squad all of them being good at either passing the ball or carrying it very well. Where did he excel with a dm wh is just a pure destroyer. But as you said against us and other big teams he will be a huge difference, what about the other teams that will park the bus in the ucl or the bundesliga?
