Manchester United's Korean midfielder Park Ji-Sung says he believes he doesn't have long left with the Red Devils, in the wake of links with Spanish La Liga duo Sevilla and Atletico Madrid.

The 30-year-old Red Devil, who retired from international football after the 2011 Asian Cup, comes out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of the 2011-12 season.

Mirror Football reports Park is attracting interest from the Spanish duo and added Atletico will have money to spend with Sergio Aguero and David de Gea set to be sold by the club.

Earlier this month, The Telegraph reported Park is likely to sign an extension with United when he returns to the club for their pre-season tour of the United States in August.

However, Park told reporters ahead of his charity match in Vietnam he was open to the idea of moving to another club before retirement.

"I won't be able to show my best after one or two years. I don't know how long I can stay at Manchester," said Park.

"I never thought about retirement but it's obvious that I don't have much time left as a player.”

He added: "According to circumstances, I might leave Manchester United and retire in another team.”

He has had his best season with us, no reason to sell him now.

Methinks he will see out his final year of his contract and then move back to a top club South Korea, where he is a national idol and can guide the next promising generation of footballers coming through.

He can still pretty much have three or four years in Europe before moving back to his homeland and I can easily see all of them being at United. He has pretty much been our first choice winger for majority of big games, I can't see why all of a sudden we would be willing to let him go.

I think he means he will leave after a couple of years, which is not such a big deal. He will be 32-33 by then anyway.

Makes sense, wouldn't be much of a player if he loses his third lung and I don't think he has enough ability to restructure his game ala Giggs.

Gotta love journalists.

He said his career may end in two or three years time and yes, the title isn't bad, because he'll leave United, but everyone is going to leave one day.

What a bunch of spastics some jounos are.

If true make sense as to why we're bringing in (or at least trying to) so many wingers

at 30 you are so old, right? then we should start buying replacements for Vidic, Evra, Carrick, and half the team. I don't think this makes sense at all.

Thing is about the above is that they all have qualities that aren't relied to heavily on stamina and pace. As fantastic as Park is, I see him as an Henry type player in that when age catches up with him, he'll drop off quickly. He's a good player but his biggest asset is his energy and speed. I do believe he'll hop off to Spain or Back to Korea in a couple of years before retiring. I see Evra leaving in 2 years as well.

park just wondering if he can still do a job for us in 2 years - no big deal

Park not really United class, decent player and good work ethic but never rated him.

I'm so fecking tired of people saying that (although they now belong to the minority).

me too. fecks sake.

anyway, I hope he will get an extension, maybe one year more. if he wants to go at 33, well, I will give him green light. not before.

maybe he will play the last season of his career at Bluewings Suwon.

Me three, the fact he plays in nearly every big game suggests he is more United class than the likes of Nani and Berbatov tbh (not saying those two aren't United class of course)

Easy guys, i see a few of you are suffering from post sanchez syndrome.

IMHO i don't think he is good enough, simple as that, for me i don't think he is strong enough to play in the EPL and he lacks the final ball and frequently seems to fall over a fair bit.

Yes, he runs around and closes people down, wow wee.

Yep, agree with this. Age catches up with us all, especially for those that rely on physical attributes like speed or fitness. He's been a fantastic servant to us, but it's not disloyal to say that as his fitness starts to drop off he will struggle to get into our team but still be a great player elsewhere. He said so himself in that interview. He is still capable of playing for us now, but in 2 years time? Who knows.

I don't want this to end in another Park-is-useless discussion. So I refrain from commenting, is better.

wise up

he put in brilliant displays before the asian cup and was a key player in the big games (especially against chelsea in the CL semis)

I would rather sell my favourite testicle than ji sung park.

Work rate. Terrible attribute isnt it?

Nate Dogg in talking rubbish again sensation!

You don't play 6 years at Alex Ferguson's Manchester United if you aren't good enough, always say the same re oshea, brown, fletcher, carrick and others!

Brilliant player who is aging well, playing some of the best club football since his PSV days. No need for him to move on.

I took the quotes as indicating he doesn't know how long he's able to keep playing to United's standards so at some point he may get the boot. Very humble thing to say.
