Jesse Marsch | Sacked by Leeds

Right after giving him the transfer window and spending 30m+.

A manager-less Leeds is no bad thing, it's the new boss's first game you want to avoid. Emery v us, Dyche v Arsenal etc

Wonder if McKennie would've gotten over the line if Marsch wasn't gaffer? Wonder if they knew that and intentionally sacked him after the window/deal finalised?

Would make sense, obviously we need to be on the receiving end of a new manager bounce

Feck off when we are just about to play them twice. They've timed this on purpose the rotten twats.

This. They’re an absolute mess at the moment and I would assume it’ll be a caretaker for both games. I don’t see them being able to appoint anyone like Emery or Dyche in this space of time.

Zidane by this time tomorrow

Surely they cant replace him properly by Wednesday
Most likely, unless it's someone internal or a British manager I doubt they will have someone in this week. Even after Emery took over we were only his first game because of the delay in getting his visa.

I imagine they wouldn't have.

After the United double they have us and Southampton so I imagine they are looking at those games and it's a reaction to losing 1-0 against another relegation rival but still pretty pathetic. Feels like a lot of clubs at the bottom are sacking managers at the wrong time or making poor decisions. Southampton made the wrong choice in Jones, we sacked Lampard too late, Leeds possibly sacking Marsch too late. We will see I suppose.

Leeds are also a bit different to us in that they've been tactically disciplined with Bielsa and Marsch to play in this high intensity manner. It's probably hard to replace.

Ragnick's coach Chris Armas only joined them a week or so ago as well to help him out

Not sure they'll get the new manager bounce. Marsch wasn't doing too badly on the whole. Some bad luck with results recently but their squad is shit. And unlike with Villa, no Emery sitting around...

The only surprise is how long this has taken.

They've won 2 out of 16 games or something.

they've written the next two games off to give themselves time, I don't expect them to play like teams usually do with a new manager

To be fair, it didn't look like it was effort or intensity they were lacking against Nottingham Forest yesterday. This seems to often be the difference after a new manager is introduced.

We’ll take them. United just got fecked by a glory hunting referee and our back hairs will be up for anything that Leeds will throw at us.

Exactly. Wonder whether the new manager bounce works only at home. Who’s the resident stats person?
'
Well I know 1 instance this year, VIlla flopped their way to a win at home, then played us a few days later at Old Trafford and we smacked them 4-2

Can’t see a new coach in by Wednesday but Saturday is now going to be a battle

Any instances of new manager bounce on the road?

For feck sake. They are actually going to be well up for it against us now. Nightmare.
