Appalling performance last night, offered nothing.

Lets hope Newcastle come in for him in January, imagine they can offer him a package not too many other clubs can offer him. Can't see him wanting to go abroad and none of the big clubs will want him either, moving to Newcastle will put back in England contention.

Castles just said on his podcast that they've offered 200k pw. Let's hope it's true and we can get 10m in Jan towards a 6.

Sell Lingaard, Pogba, Martial and Van de Beek as fast as possible. And buy Rice, if not possible buy the next best CDM.

Does he like cheese? That will be the crucial question.

Get a loan fee out of him, let Newcastle cover his wages, and he’ll be a goner come the summer anyway, so makes sense.

Yet another piece of amazing work by the United board / management.
Why not sell him last summer, when we could easily have got 20-25 min pounds for him, after his terrific loan with West Ham. In stead we kept him, and he has barely played for us. 273 minutes in total this season. Put together it's around 3 matches..
Now losing him on a free transfer. Stupidity again..

Because our marvellous ex manager Ole said he had a ‘great chance‘ of being in part of his future plans after his impressive spell at West Ham.

Stupidity yes, but on this occasion probably not the Utd board.

Really reliable Newcastle source. Why are we reluctant to let him leave? He doesn't fecking play

We should let him leave, we've got Elanga, Meijrbi and Diallo who can cover his minutes and backup positions.

posturing I'd imagine, cannot see how we actually would want to keep him with all the reports of wanting a CM.

We seem reluctant to let anyone go. Do the Glazers think that owning a football club is like Pokemon?

He'd help Newcastle survive though.

Might give us a year more before they overtake us if they get relegated

No one was willing to pay us 20-25m . It's all media BS. At that point, Ole decided to stick to him.

Newcastle are such bellends they are rotten with money, just put a proper bid in, loan deal, piff..

Unless Newcastle make us a ludicrous offer, I wouldn't sell or loan anyone to them now. It's in United's best long-term interests that Newcastle get relegated this season.

A ray of light that we might get some cash in for him, whether that's just to cover his wages or a fee on top as a bonus.

Agreed. Would easily loan him to any other club excepting those in the top 6 currently and Newcastle.

Not really, they'll be straight back up next season ... won't make much of a difference if they get relegated this season (apart from for comedy purposes)

Loan? his contract is up so why they not offering a contract?

They can’t offer him a contract till the summer. Foreign clubs can offer since Jan 1.

We are going to have to let him go for a token amount this window if anything. Big balls up not forcing him out to West Ham last summer and reinvesting the money into the squad. At the end of the day these things don’t matter to the glazers, wasting money is perfectly fine. They get the same money anyway for running the club in a sloppy and out of touch manner
