He work rate is insane, runs all game, presses alot, he'll be good for a team that plays counter-attack where he would thrive on quick overturns and transition, he won't be able to perform for a team like United that will dominate games and retains possession..

Westham will definitely benefit having him, alongside players like Bowen & Benrahma, I think also an Everton will do will with him together with Richarlson and DCL

throughout the 3 games he has shown glimpses of messi lingard then also glimpses of how he was before the loan deal. I think the pressure of play for United gets to him. i think its best if we cut loses for us and for him

Hopefully West Ham come back in for him. We need to start shifting players as soon as possible so we can complete our incomings.

I thought he was pretty poor last night, but I'll admit that I was dipping in-and-out of watching the game.

Rashford Cavani Sancho
Amad/Elanga Martial Greenwood

James and Lingard should be leaving. Martial and Greenwood are the 2 senior backups the 3rd spot should be filled by a kid.

A few tears of joy when he manages to score or assist every 6-12 months. But mostly tears of sadness and despair.
Over his whole career, he has a goal or assist every 201 minutes (excluding matches in the lower leagues).

Yeah not over the last 3 years for United he doesn't.

But sure he's still young and has time on his side, so he might yet develop into a consistent top player one day.

Honeymoon period is over already. He was useless again yesterday, getting in the way and slowing everything down. Let's sell him please whilst his reputation is still worth something.

Most of his good attributes aren't really suitable for a top team, serious lack of good passing and vision for a supposedly #10.

He's perfect for WHU.

Not looking good for selling him.

Not good for us or him.

Hopefully if he stays we don't just play him for the sake of it like we tend to do sometimes do with Mata.

I think he'll end up leaving once the club accept they're not going to get that much for him. £15m-20m would be a good price for him or I can see him being used in a swap.

That would be so shite. Look at how much Liverpool sell their shit players who can't even play for a premier League club.

Ibe, Solanke, Brewster, Wilson, Lovren even got a decent amount.

Were any of them approaching 30, on £100k a week, with less than a year left on their contract and sold in the middle of a pandemic though?

It's not necessarily United's fault, the club have tried to play hard ball to get decent fees for players like Darmian who ended up leaving for I believe a million Euros. You can only sell for what's being offered.

Seems to want to stay, I hope we’re not offering him a new contract.

Will have a couple of decent games and we'll give him a new 4-year deal.

So many false dawns with this guy. We can't count on him to perform when needed. He looked most comfortable here when we were flirting with becoming a midtable side and now he's had his best form of his career at West Ham, because that's a perfect fit for a player with his skillset.

The club needs to sell now. Another bloated contract to a squad player who has shown he can not perform as a squad player would be a show of this club not learning at all. Move him on, take whatever West Ham can cough up, even if it's just a hairball. The club needs to learn to move players on at the right time.

Or do they try and get unrealistic prices? I heard they want 25m for Pereira for example. On what planet? Historically we are really bad at selling players. Not the best at buying either but we’ve let amazing players go for way below their worth. Now it seems we’re doing the opposite and asking for more. I know it’s a negotiation but still. You have to be realistic.

He'll be here till he's old enough to be a coach. That looks like the only way we move on players these days.

Well they definitely did with Darmian, the rumours were we wanted £20-25m in 2017 (some loons on here thought we would get it back then too) and then £10-15m in 2018 he eventually left for around £1-2m. Which was about right given that he is an atrocious footballer, a footballer we were conned into paying £16m for as well. While selling Rafael for £2m, great bit of business there.

Right, I loved Raphael. That Leicester game was the death of everything. We were playing great football under LVG up to that game. After that it all changed. And Raphael was scapegoated. So sad. Was also the beginning of the end of for Di Maria who was playing brilliantly up to that point. Hated Vardy for the way he got him sent off. Shoulda been a free kick the other way. Bloody ref!

Who's this Raphael guy?

Wants to fight for his place, and we'll bow down to this request because we have trouble just letting players go, he's had years to fight for his place and has never been good enough, why is everyone being tricked into thinking he's actually a good player, is it because he was part of the academy? is it because he's English? Is it because he kept saying beans beans beans in that one video? I am genuinely baffled at anyone who wants this man playing for our club, never has been good enough, never will be good enough, West Ham is his level, sell him for christs sake.
