Sad to see some appear amused or happy he’s injured. Having said that he’s thick as two short planks chasing a ball he’s never going to get on Astro at full pace. Probably never warmed up properly. A lot of our issues are players own stupidity

Please end our misery and just retire. Become the first professional footballer turning into a youtuber and fashion icon, at least the fans there already idolise him despite how bad he is.

Had our best chance when he came on. Got into a great position, but was unlucky with his shot. Hope his injury isn't too serious. Whatever people say about him, we need our all of our players.

What's up with everyone being happy about an injured player in an already thin squad.

The only way I'll change my vote from sack to keep is if Lingard is the FIRST player Solskjaer sells in January.

Nobody is wishing injury on him, however nobody is arsed that he's injured.

Unlucky  He’s been unlucky for 3 years

His position isnt that "thin". Lingard is used as "10" almost all of the time. Pereira and Mata also play there and they arent worse (also not better) than Lingard. It is also Gomes his position and even Pogba could play there. If Martial ever comes back from injury even Martial could play there behind the striker or Rashford/Greenwood to play behind Martial from Lingard his spot.

Enough options. I would say the position is covered and i dont think any option is much worse than playing Lingard. The options might not be great but neither is playing Lingard.

It was a good ball from McTominay and Lingard's effort was decent enough from the angle, other than that he was woeful and then pulled his hamstring, at least he had the sense to come off and not make the injury worse.

Everyone can see it apart from Ole. Lingard is a personification of what Ole has claimed is 'The United Way' - English, academy product, (not) young. Therefore, dropping him or Rashford would seem like Ole's drifting away from the ethos that got him the job in the first place. Lingard will never be away from the first team, as long as Ole is here.

Never say never.

Jesse isn't nearly as bad as he's portraying. I think there's something going on with regards to Ole and not allowing our attacking players to flourish. Could be his garbage tactics to positionally implement a 10. Every fixture we are relying on individual brilliance / penalties regardless of the opposition, how do you expect our players to attain any good form.

Our attacking players bad form speaks more about the manager because for the national team they all of a sudden are overnight performers. You give Solskjaer City's team he'll have them struggling, you give Ole Liverpool they will struggle, you give him Spurs they will struggle. Lingard is basic in every regard this is hardly to glamorise his attributes.

Why keep some saying we should sell him? Who would be stupid enough to pay money for him let alone pay his wages?

Giving him a new contract would be the next chapter in a story full of abysmal decision.

Maybe he can go to China or US.

Shout out to Beckham: You will never get Messi so this is the second best option?

I’ve seen the Chinese make some weird decisions with buying players, but surely they are not that stupid. Or are they?

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. But if it’s broke, you darned well need to fix it. Lingard has been broken for a long long time and Ole does nothing about it. So hopefully with him out of the team for a few weeks or a month someone else will step up and Ole will finally make the decision to replace him on a permanent basis.

Probably a good thing for him he's injured (assuming it's not too serious).

Get him out of the team for a couple weeks, he's clearly lost his confidence.

At 26 it’s safe to say he’s not going to up his game. If he’s awarded a new contract that tells us all we need to know about the club‘s immediate future.

Been a really long time since his acolyte fans have been able to spam this thread with 'take that haters' comments.

would never be happy about an injury to a player, but at the same time, i'm not upset in the slightest.

His faked the injury to get out the firing line. Total coward of a player.
Joking! Kind of...

Hopefully his career as an instagram influencer explodes during his injury and he decides to make it a full time job.

One of, if not the worst player to ever consistently start for us. He is the definition of a nothing player. He can't do anything. Jack of no trades master of shite.

Get well soon (but stick to insta & snap) you useless cnut.

I don't think there are any left to be honest

There are, there's at least one anyway.

But they've not had anything to even cling to for almost 10 months. So it just seems like there are none left.

If he ever scores a goal again they'll be back on here quick as they can.
