He might actually be the worst united regular I've ever seen. He's so so shit.

Absolutely. He's actually been our only threat down the middle. None of his chances could be interpreted as sitters - all were difficult shots at angles.

Lost hope with you.

Shite as usual. Nothing new. Wish I could get 100 grand a year for being this crap.

Will never understand how someone so mediocre plays so often. One of the worst players I've seen at United since Richardson and Bebe.

A non footballer with zero guile. Scores every now and then to make the pseudo intellectuals and supposedly 'down to earth, calm yer titties noobs' fans hack anyone who dare to question his presence in the squad in exactly 666 (yernited red devils for the win!) pieces.

Likewise. Blaming Lingard for everything is absurd.

Don't turn this into blaming Lingard as there were a few just as poor and in Rooneys case even worse. But call a spade a spade and let's be honest Lingard is a very average player.

His passes are more dangerous than his shots.

Getting sick of him. No consistency whatsoever and yet some will say he was good today. He's been involved in 75 games since last season which is phenomenal for such a limited player.

He plays with so little responsibility. Running around and looking busy just isn't good enough for a player that is starting fairly regularly.

Get paid well, looking busy, but not much done. He should work for the government.

He's very limited without significant space. So he'll be decent in a few big matches each year - potentially like a worse Park.

He'll be a decent squad player, but shouldn't be playing a big role here.

Does his training regime consist of running into brick walls and closing his eyes when passing? If yes, he is top of the class.

You're entitled to your opinion - i happen to think its myopic. The problem today was the manager failed to motivate this side to perform with the energy and vigor needed to get the job done. Spot the difference between the Chelsea game and this one.

As I've said before, he's ok(ish) against the bigger sides, for tactical reasons. Against cannon fodder sides he's utterly fecking useless which he's shown time and again.

He was fecking terrible today.

Kept getting brushed off the ball in 50/50s and then when he did have the ball he'd just blindly run into a swansea player and fall over.

The bit near the end where we had a promising little move building and he just fecking peter kay style smashed the ball out for a goal kick was hilarious/infuriating.

He's definitely a fair weather player. A squad player.

Fielding him regularly is a massive red flag to the management (and previous management) of the club.

The mind boggles that his staunch fans will literally blame anyone bar Lingard when he plays atrocious.

No other club in the top 6 would think twice about signing him. He is at best a squad player that should make the occasional sub appearance or Cup game but he's starting every week.

The lad has NO attributes.

Pace? Average for a 24 year old offensive player.

Technique / Ball manipulation / touch? Below average, cannot receive the ball in tight spaces, struggles when closed down.

Passing? Below par, weight, angle, timing are all below average. (Cannot long pass, so this is solely for short passing).

Shooting? Poor, scores one or two big goals but nothing that a bottom six team squad member doesn't / can't do.

Dribbling? Kick and rush, average at best, no ability to slide past, beat his opposite number.

Local and likeable? Very much so.

Guy has zero qualities to justify starting for MUFC.

He does not work at Old Trafford, play him in the away games to counter attack but keep him away from Old Trafford.

Anyone thinking this lad is good enough to be a starter for us needs to have a word with themselves.

I'll just say Nani used to be benched for less, even after he gave us two brilliant seasons. Lingard won't even come close to that form but he'll continue to play regularly. unbelievable.

He was horrific today. Why Rooney is getting the abuse today and not Flashdance here is beyond me.

It was a poor team performance. People don't like blaming the team as a whole and seem to love venting on players like Lingard.

How about Martial, Carrick, Blind, Rashford, and Young ? Even better, lets have a look at how the manager failed to motive this group today.

But but he works hard and came from academy...

He's the epitome of a Europa League standard player

You going to be disappointed when he pulls a stinker in the next game.

He is a squad player at best. Someone who makes up home grown numbers and plays the odd game in the FA and the League cup.
